Behind The Scene Of Temptations And Trials

"Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?" (Romans 8:35 NLT)

The devil tries all the time to make us believe that God is responsible for all the troubles in our lives. He lies that God has abandoned us because He does not love us. The truth is God loves us with an everlasting love. Christ's love is unconditional. We must know that nothing can separate us from His love. The devil, in the real sense, is responsible for most of our troubles as Christians. Unfortunately, he will turn around and blame them on God and want to deceive us to believe the same.
A classic example of this truth is what happened to the patriarch Job. He was an upright man before God, but the devil brought flimsy allegations against him. He was seeking opportunities to strike Job and deceive him into doubting God. Job, though oblivion to what transpired in heaven, defended God. This is where we defer today, we are quick to agree with our enemy and doubt God's love.
The devil accused Job of being a mere parasite. He insinuated that Job was serving God because of His blessings and protection. God knew Job's heart and He must have tested it before the incidence. The devil could only afflict Job after God's permission. The devil still brings allegation to God about us, he is the accuser of the brethren. This is not to create fear in us but to help us realise that whatsoever the devil will touch in our lives, must have been scrutinized by God. The same God will provide a way of escape for us. The same God will turn it for our good. There is no basis to fear the devil and all his activities. He is a defeated enemy.
Like Job, we must decide upfront to always be on God's side and never to doubt His love for us. There is nothing that should be capable of separating us from God.

ACTION PLAN: Quit the attitude of blaming God, resist the devil's temptations and lies.

PRAYER: Father, grant me an unwavering faith in you.
