Am I manic? Since I am going to have a tell all book about my Bipolar journey, I will share the reality of heading into a manic episode! My sister, bless her heart, could tell the last time I was coming into a manic state! I did not recognize it myself and my wife Kathy did not identify it because she had not lived with me in that state of mind! My former pastor, Galen Drier, who walked with me many years said the difficult thing about me is he had a hard time identifying if I was just super excited or in a manic state! I believe the super excitement is a precursor to a full-blown manic state! My sister might right now be wondering if I am headed there! I am excited about things happening in my life because of the dream of writing a book! I believe it will be published in the next six months or a year! Is this just a manic thought or will it become a reality!
Today Kathy and I went to a pancake feed at the church we attend. We were not sure who was going to benefit from the feed. Was it just happenstance or is God directing our steps! We sat down and looked at papers on the table. One was to evaluate if you were a narcissist! I looked around and saw the Psychology Professor at Central Christian College! She had given her testimony in church about eight months ago! It included how God had delivered her from some tough stuff and now is walking with Him! Love the testimonies of believers! I told my wife we need to talk to her about our ministry! Eight months later she walked by our table and we started conversing and found out the feed was put on by her department and some of the students. The seniors were displaying class projects. They researched a mental illness and had a display of what they found! The first one in line was (can you guess?) Bipolar Disorder! For the next hour and a half, I got a scholastic education on mental illness and they got an education from someone who lived live 33 years with a diagnosis! I was excited, or should I say elated (not quite as manic) that the professor asked if I would share with her class! It did not take long for me to answer the question! Thank you, Lord! I am receiving more requests for the book! This should be enough motivation to complete the book! Thank you, Lord!
