  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full...
The Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. (cont.) From His throne in glory the Lord begins to reign and put all His enemies under His feet. `….put an end to all rule and all authority and power. ` (1 Cor. 15: 24) `For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.` (1 Cor. 15: 25)...
Psalms 27 (Select verses) “Better is open rebuke than hidden love.” (v. 5) There are people in this life who will love you sincerely, who you can trust to be who they say that they are, who will speak the truth in love to you, and who will not lie to you. And then there are people who will...
The Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus ascended, He went to His Father`s right hand, on the Father`s throne. At the appointed time the Father will send Jesus to gather His Body and take them to the third heaven. `He (the Father) may send Jesus….whom heaven must receive until the...
“Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing...
“Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. They have become callous...
“Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children...
The Kingdom of Israel. When God made the nations of the world, He also made a nation to rule over them. That is Israel. They learnt of God`s righteous rule and were to teach the other nations this also. `When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Israel from a people of strange language...
Our support in our struggles There is one word I heed and continually ponder; it alone is everything to me; I live by it and die by it, and it is the holy will of God. It is my daily food. My whole soul listens intently to God’s wishes. I do always what God asks of me, although my nature...
“And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says ‘I know him’ but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him...
The Kingdoms of this World. As the nations of the world developed, they formed great kingdoms. God gave them an opportunity to rule. Here we read of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. `You, O King, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and...

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” “Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right...
I am reading in John 4:1-42, and this is a lengthy passage, so I am going to summarize some of it and I will quote some of it. For it is the story of Jesus talking with the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well in Samaria. And this meeting up with this woman at that well was a divine appointment for...

Like Jesus said : Matthew 24: 35-37, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone". Why are people so hung up on this? Is this the purpose of Christianity, to spend all...
“What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in...
(After reading John 15:1-17) Father, I extend my soul to follow your rules, to befriend your heart, do service for you, because your Son sought you, fulfilled the Law, I seek you, too, demonstrate love. First by the knowing he gave all for me. By this grand mercy, I show grace secondly. Thirdly...
