  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Thank you so much for sharing this part of your testimony. It is hard when we see those we love bound by the chains of sin, and it does take God...
  • Walking in Obedience
What a wonderful post. I have a friend who got into drugs pretty bad. He didn't really care about "Yielding Himself" a servant to obey God, and...

SJL, Thank you for your time in response. Mine was not a wolf in sheep's clothing but my own father, who knew the real Truth. Yet, I am still...

Fellow bloggers, there is a great need to get the message of the gospel of Christ out to the people of our individual nations as well as to the people of nations across the world. And we can do that in our own homes by sharing the gospel on the internet. We need more of you sharing the gospel...

Have you ever noticed how that quite often a subtle twist can completely alter the meaning of what is taught? It may not even need to change words but simply misdirect the intention. I attended a funeral recently and as the presiding authoritative voice of theology rambled on at his appointed...
Prayer Life As a species, we tend to overthink certain areas in our lives that are very important. One’s life of prayer can be one such topic. When talking with some retreatants they often want to find ‘one way’ to pray. For instance, “Centering Prayer”, the rosary, or some other form of...
“So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, ‘My...

Building homes there further, and gathering and carrying in the water, and tending the growing vegetation that had been planted all around there, continued all that day, without approach of further creatures seen. At the end of the day all of those of this group gathered together, around the...
“Look at what is before your eyes. If anyone is confident that he is Christ's, let him remind himself that just as he is Christ's, so also are we. For even if I boast a little too much of our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for destroying you, I will not be ashamed.”...
“We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. For they gave according to their means, as I...
When one passage of the Scriptures resounds with a similar inspiration as another passage, these are the "deep calls unto deep" (Psalms 42:7) moments that stir my heart with confidence that the Lord reigns. His truths are so beautiful and weave indestructible pictures of God's character and...
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols?” (2...
“Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade others. But what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience. We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you cause to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast about outward...
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of...

In a world filled with confusion, misinformation, and the pursuit of relative truth, the words of Jesus in John 8:32 ring out like a beacon of hope: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” This verse is a profound statement that not only reveals the power of truth but...
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes! With...
A Letter from Christ “Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you? You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. And you show that you are a letter from Christ...
“For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you. For we are not writing to you anything other than what you read and understand and I hope you...
Aging, community, and grace Living in an aging community is something that takes getting used to. Perhaps something I will never be able to feel comfortable with. I keep thinking I am younger, but there is truth to that. I believe that we are all young when we are by ourselves. I believe it was...
