  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

He is not served by human hands, rather by hearts, his breath in them.* Though he lacks nothing, God wanted us for fellowship, desire filled from dust. If he had made us from the best of things of heavens glory, what delight would that bring? Instead, he made us, mere to majesty, to just lesser...
Acts 14:1-3 ESV “Now at Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed. But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. So they remained for a long time...

Acts 13:21-22 ESV “Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, ‘I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart...
Presently the Lord Jesus is walking me through the book of Acts. He is not having me teach word by word, but rather he is pointing out to me the things he wants me to focus on which can be applied to our lives today. And the story of Cornelius and Peter is a great story from which to teach some...
They call them old. They call them sheltered. They say they’re bold. They say they’re fettered. They say they’re crazy, That they’re insane. But they’re not lazy, The truth explain. For that’s opinion, But not in truth. They’ve no dominion, They are uncouth. They make their judgments, The...
I am reading in Acts chapter 7. Stephen, who was one of the first deacons, and who was a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, was being persecuted by Jews who were libertines, who were lacking in moral principles. So, they secretly instigated other people to accuse him falsely of what he...
Stephen was a man of God, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit who, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. But he was being opposed by the libertines. And a libertine is defined as “a person who behaves without moral principles or a sense of...
Peter and John were speaking to the people, although I believe it was primarily Peter who was talking, and they were teaching and proclaiming Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead. And the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees were greatly annoyed at this. So...
I am reading in Acts 3. Peter and John, on this occasion, had been instrumental in the healing of a man who was lame from birth. And all the people who were present saw the man who was lame now walking and praising God. And so Peter addressed the people, and he gave all the credit to the Lord...

Photo by Hennie Stander on Unsplash The stories most of our cultures are telling us right now—which we see played out in our politics—consist of corruption, backwardness, fear, and massive confusion about identity. Evil is pernicious. And today, it has gradually worn down the hope and vitality...
Video Talk Psalms 24:3-6 ESV “Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord and...
Proverbs 29 (Select Verses) ESV 1 “He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck, will suddenly be broken beyond healing. 2 When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan. 3 He who loves wisdom makes his father glad, but a companion of...
Dealing with the stuff of life I am starting to feel my fragility, and how precious my life is. Knowing that my sense of diminishment will grow, I have had to learn to deal with it in such a way that it deepens my faith in God, and how profoundly important the last years of our lives...
