*Isaiah 65:20 / *Isa. 65:20 -
This could refer to a new race of humans who will be created by God along with the future, New Earth (Isaiah 65:17), as in a new surface for the earth, but who will fall into sin and mortality like Adam and Eve did. But even as mortals, they could live about 900 years, like Adam and generations after him lived that long (Genesis 5:5-27). So if one of them dies at 100, it will be like he died in his youth (Isaiah 65:20b).
If Isaiah 65:20 does refer to the future, New Earth, it cannot refer to any humans born on our present earth. For by the time that the New Earth is created (Revelation 21:1), all humans born on our present earth who became Christians and were obedient will have been resurrected (if dead) or changed (if alive) into immortal physical bodies (Revelation 21:4; 1 Corinthians 15:21-23,51-53, Romans 8:23-25). And all who did not become Christians or who were disobedient will have been cast into the lake of fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8, Revelation 20:10,15, Revelation 14:10-11, Isaiah 66:22,24, Matthew 25:41,46, Mark 9:45-46).
The physically resurrected, immortal Christians could minister to the new race of fallen, mortal humans of Isaiah 65:20 in the same way that angels now minister to us (Hebrews 1:14). For resurrected, immortal Christians will be equal to the angels (Luke 20:36).

During the future Millennium, after Jesus Christ's Second Coming (Isaiah 66:15-21, Revelation 19:7 to 20:6, Zechariah 14:3-21), Jesus will send out evangelists/missionaries to the nations to preach the Gospel and tell them all about the returned Jesus' fame and glory in Jerusalem (Isaiah 66:19). So people will want to come up to Jerusalem to serve Him (Isaiah 66:20-21, Micah 4:2, Zechariah 8:22-23).
People will be saved by Jesus Christ during the future Millennium in the same way that people have always been saved by Jesus: through faith in Him (John 3:16,36, John 14:6, Acts 4:12) and His New Covenant suffering and death on the Cross for our sins (Matthew 26:28, Romans 3:25) and His physical resurrection from the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10:9). And so people saved during the Millennium will become part of the Church, just as any people saved during the preceding Tribulation will have become part of the church. For there are no Christians outside of the Church (Ephesians 4:4-6).
Those who become Christians during the future Millennium will grow old and die just as people always have since the fall of man into sin. But after the Millennium and the subsequent Gog/Magog event (Revelation 20:7-9, Ezekiel chapters 38-39), those who became Christians during the Millennium will be physically resurrected at the Great White Throne Judgment along with all non-Christians of all times (Revelation 20:11-15). That is why not everyone at the Great White Throne Judgment will be cast into the lake of fire, but only the unsaved (Revelation 20:15).

The original Hebrew word (qadash: H6942) translated as "sanctified" can simply mean "prepared" (Jeremiah 12:3). Just as nothing requires that the people "prepared" (qadash) for slaughter by God's judgment against them in Jeremiah 12:3 were sanctified in the sense of Hebrews 10:10, so the prophet Jeremiah was not sanctified in the womb in the sense of Hebrews 10:10. Instead, he was simply prepared and ordained in the womb to be a prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1:5). For no one is sanctified in the sense of Hebrews 10:10 unless they have faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the Cross for our sins (Acts 26:18b; 1 Corinthians 6:11, Romans 3:25-26). Also, Jeremiah 1:5 would have application by type only to certain elect individuals like Jeremiah who were prepared and ordained by God in the womb to be prophets to the nations. Only some of the elect are prophets (Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:29).

This means that God had foreknowledge, before He first created Jeremiah in his mother's womb, what Jeremiah was going to be like.

(A prophet unto the nations)
Jeremiah was a prophet to the nations by sending God's messages, through messengers, to the leaders of the nations around ancient Israel (e.g. Jeremiah 27:1-11).
But how could a Christian today be a prophet to the nations? For while there are certainly prophets in the Church today, just as in the early Church (1 Corinthians 12:28), why would any foreign nation's leaders, or any leader in the U.S. for that matter, listen to messages sent by God through a Christian prophet today? For leaders today would simply skip reading any such messages as only the ramblings of some crazy or eccentric person who has no power or standing in the world.
But what if God gave a Christian prophet today some miraculous words of knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:8) which the leaders mistakenly thought must have been obtained from a mole in one of their countries' intelligence agencies sharing that information with the prophet, like how the ancient king of Syria mistakenly thought that the miraculous information which the prophet Elisha gave to the king of Israel must have been obtained from a mole within the king of Syria's retinue (2 Kings 6:8-12)?
Then the leaders would have a motive to read the messages from the prophet, and so would receive the messages from God, which would then work God's will (Isaiah 55:11, Proverbs 21:1).
Also, based on how God protected the prophets Elijah and Elishah from human leaders (2 Kings 1:9-15; 2 Kings 6:11-23), leaders today could forbear from going after Christian prophets while the prophets have done them no wrong.

And the Hebrew word (shanah: H8138) translated as "to change" can mean to "disguise" (1 Kings 14:2), which is a form of hiding. And the Hebrew word (derek: H1870) translated as "thy way" can mean thy "journey" (Genesis 30:36).
So the Hebrew translated as: "Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way?" can mean: "Why are you gone away so quickly to hide your journey?", as if in shame, in this case for fleeing to live in Egypt (Jeremiah 2:36b, Jeremiah 2:18, Jeremiah 44:1) despite God's command not to go back there (Deuteronomy 17:16).
Jeremiah 2:37 means that they would go forth from Egypt as captives (cf. Jeremiah 43:11), vitiating the whole reason for their fleeing to Egypt in the first place, which was to try to find safety from the Babylonians (Jeremiah 42:14, Jeremiah 42:11).

Under the New Covenant, men are not allowed by God to divorce their wives for adultery, but only for pre-marital fornication (Matthew 19:9) not discovered until after their wedding. Also, even after God divorced Israel, He said that He was still married to Israel and wanted Israel to return to Him (Jeremiah 3:14). It is the same under the New Covenant: a woman divorced from a valid husband is still married to Him in God's eyes. That is why if she marries another man, she is committing adultery against her valid husband (Mark 10:12), and her new husband is committing adultery against him (Luke 16:18b). Under the New Covenant, the only choices for a woman divorced from a valid husband are to remain unmarried or to remarry her valid husband (1 Corinthians 7:11), just as divorced Israel will eventually remarry God (Hosea 2:19-20, Isaiah 54:5-10, Isaiah 62:5b).

Also, during the time of the "dinosaurs" (which literally means the "terrible lizards"), which spanned from 230 to 65 million years ago, the evolutionary forbears of all mammals (including us humans) were mere, little rodents hiding in the bushes. Now it is the lizards who hide from us. Who knows if our situations (as in the situation between reptiles and mammals) could ever become reversed again, in some far-future eon on the earth? For God loves to make the high low, and the low high (Luke 1:52, Luke 14:11), to thwart overweening pride.

During the future Millennium, after Jesus Christ's Second Coming (Isaiah 66:15-21, Revelation 19:7 to 20:6, Zechariah 14:3-21), Jesus will send out evangelists/missionaries to the nations to preach the Gospel and tell them all about the returned Jesus' fame and glory in Jerusalem (Isaiah 66:19). So people will want to come up to Jerusalem to serve Him (Isaiah 66:20-21, Micah 4:2, Zechariah 8:22-23).
People will be saved by Jesus Christ during the future Millennium in the same way that people have always been saved by Jesus: through faith in Him (John 3:16,36, John 14:6, Acts 4:12) and His New Covenant suffering and death on the Cross for our sins (Matthew 26:28, Romans 3:25) and His physical resurrection from the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10:9). And so people saved during the Millennium will become part of the Church, just as any people saved during the preceding Tribulation will have become part of the church. For there are no Christians outside of the Church (Ephesians 4:4-6).
Those who become Christians during the future Millennium will grow old and die just as people always have since the fall of man into sin. But after the Millennium and the subsequent Gog/Magog event (Revelation 20:7-9, Ezekiel chapters 38-39), those who became Christians during the Millennium will be physically resurrected at the Great White Throne Judgment along with all non-Christians of all times (Revelation 20:11-15). That is why not everyone at the Great White Throne Judgment will be cast into the lake of fire, but only the unsaved (Revelation 20:15).

The original Hebrew word (qadash: H6942) translated as "sanctified" can simply mean "prepared" (Jeremiah 12:3). Just as nothing requires that the people "prepared" (qadash) for slaughter by God's judgment against them in Jeremiah 12:3 were sanctified in the sense of Hebrews 10:10, so the prophet Jeremiah was not sanctified in the womb in the sense of Hebrews 10:10. Instead, he was simply prepared and ordained in the womb to be a prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1:5). For no one is sanctified in the sense of Hebrews 10:10 unless they have faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the Cross for our sins (Acts 26:18b; 1 Corinthians 6:11, Romans 3:25-26). Also, Jeremiah 1:5 would have application by type only to certain elect individuals like Jeremiah who were prepared and ordained by God in the womb to be prophets to the nations. Only some of the elect are prophets (Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:29).

This means that God had foreknowledge, before He first created Jeremiah in his mother's womb, what Jeremiah was going to be like.

(A prophet unto the nations)
Jeremiah was a prophet to the nations by sending God's messages, through messengers, to the leaders of the nations around ancient Israel (e.g. Jeremiah 27:1-11).
But how could a Christian today be a prophet to the nations? For while there are certainly prophets in the Church today, just as in the early Church (1 Corinthians 12:28), why would any foreign nation's leaders, or any leader in the U.S. for that matter, listen to messages sent by God through a Christian prophet today? For leaders today would simply skip reading any such messages as only the ramblings of some crazy or eccentric person who has no power or standing in the world.
But what if God gave a Christian prophet today some miraculous words of knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:8) which the leaders mistakenly thought must have been obtained from a mole in one of their countries' intelligence agencies sharing that information with the prophet, like how the ancient king of Syria mistakenly thought that the miraculous information which the prophet Elisha gave to the king of Israel must have been obtained from a mole within the king of Syria's retinue (2 Kings 6:8-12)?
Then the leaders would have a motive to read the messages from the prophet, and so would receive the messages from God, which would then work God's will (Isaiah 55:11, Proverbs 21:1).
Also, based on how God protected the prophets Elijah and Elishah from human leaders (2 Kings 1:9-15; 2 Kings 6:11-23), leaders today could forbear from going after Christian prophets while the prophets have done them no wrong.

And the Hebrew word (shanah: H8138) translated as "to change" can mean to "disguise" (1 Kings 14:2), which is a form of hiding. And the Hebrew word (derek: H1870) translated as "thy way" can mean thy "journey" (Genesis 30:36).
So the Hebrew translated as: "Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way?" can mean: "Why are you gone away so quickly to hide your journey?", as if in shame, in this case for fleeing to live in Egypt (Jeremiah 2:36b, Jeremiah 2:18, Jeremiah 44:1) despite God's command not to go back there (Deuteronomy 17:16).
Jeremiah 2:37 means that they would go forth from Egypt as captives (cf. Jeremiah 43:11), vitiating the whole reason for their fleeing to Egypt in the first place, which was to try to find safety from the Babylonians (Jeremiah 42:14, Jeremiah 42:11).

Also, even after God divorced Israel, He said that He was still married to Israel and wanted Israel to return to Him (Jeremiah 3:14). It is the same under the New Covenant: a woman divorced from a valid husband is still married to Him in God's eyes. That is why if she marries another man, she is committing adultery against her valid husband (Mark 10:12), and her new husband is committing adultery against him (Luke 16:18b). Under the New Covenant, the only choices for a woman divorced from a valid husband are to remain unmarried or to remarry her valid husband (1 Corinthians 7:11), just as divorced Israel will eventually remarry God (Hosea 2:19-20, Isaiah 54:5-10, Isaiah 62:5b).

Also, during the time of the "dinosaurs" (which literally means the "terrible lizards"), which spanned from 230 to 65 million years ago, the evolutionary forbears of all mammals (including us humans) were mere, little rodents hiding in the bushes. Now it is the lizards who hide from us. Who knows if our situations (as in the situation between reptiles and mammals) could ever become reversed again, in some far-future eon on the earth? For God loves to make the high low, and the low high (Luke 1:52, Luke 14:11), to thwart overweening pride.
