And someone,who struggled with faith?
I have a question about the definition of sola scriptura.
Am I not a "sola scriptura -Christian" if I believe, that to understand the will of God and to get to know the truth, the text in the Bible in itself isn't sufficient, but that one must be guided by the Holy Spirit to understand what the Bible text actually says?
I just watched a debate between a Protestant and a Catholic on the subject of sola scriptura. I was surprised that neither one of them claimed that God's Spirit is the one...
The raw truth about what is, and what is to come. I invite you to view our 4-minute video, and I ask the question: Are we in the last of the last days?
Sin is like rust on a car! At first, you notice a spot of rust but 99% of your vehicle is still intact. You may not think much of that one spot of rust. You may even become desensitized to it, and so you let it go. But left alone it will consume your entire vehicle.
Sin is moral debt to God. As the years go by, the debt grows and grows......
Hi, quick background: agnostic, want to understand Christianity a bit better. My current understanding is limited to that which I got from christian friends and media, forgive any and all misconceptions that I have.
I have two question right now:
1) God gave us free will, but then followed up by basically saying "if you don't follow me, you go to hell", which is kind of the equivalent of saying "your choice, but only if you make the right choice". How is this fair?
2a) I do not understand...
I work with two Christians who seem to think that homosexual sin is worse than others. Let me give you a quick backstory to what I'm talking about. I work in a bakery for 5 years and the bakery has three cake decorators 2 of them are Christians. We had a gay couple place a order for a wedding cake. Both of cake decorators who are Christians refused to make the wedding cake for the gay couple. They told the owner they will not make a wedding cake for people who live in sin and marriage is...
Hello, Some of you may remember me from my post about having so many doubts and most recently about my fears of committing the unpardonable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I am still struggling with whether or not I committed that horrible sin and I still hope and pray that I did not. I still pray for God to have mercy on me if I did. I feel so hard-hearted and it seems that the more I try to get closer to Jesus the more I have evil thoughts against Him and the more I have doubts....
Link to Bill introduced
A BILL: To recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, to relocate to Jerusalem the United States Embassy in Israel, and for other purposes.
A Bill was introduced to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This move is considered provocative by Palestinian and Jordan (who have been very vocal about the possibility of this move). Of course, many other Arab nations...
Universal reconciliation. No greater doctrine of love and forgiveness exists. I ask that, for a moment, let's see if the scripture supports the doctrine of universal reconciliation. I will cite verses with brief comments. Imagine for a moment that these passages are all that exist in the scripture. If these passages were the only verses in scripture, would you not walk away thinking, "It's true; universal reconciliation is clearly true"?
Now, bear in mind, I'm not saying "Then it is true"...
Please explain your answers.
I am curious of the end times views on this forum. I would appreciate if you would vote on this poll to see what the majority view is. Thanks.
***Note: Please don't debate views or argue with others on this thread. There are plenty of threads for that. If you want to post your view, that is great. I know this is a touchy subject for many, I just know it can get heated. I mainly want a poll to just see how views are split.
