Were you trying to be funny here? The "theo" is the Greek root for "God".
Yes! Sorry, i know it's hard to sense sarcasm on the internet:p

Without thinking or consideration of what the Holy Spirit is doing with us?
The Spirit is within us, we have the mind of Christ. these are not my words, the scripture lays this out.

So, are you claiming your theology is not from manipulated scripture, and it is only those folk that don't agree with you who follow manipulated scripture?

The Spirit bears witness.

How many different denominations claim they are led the the Holy Spirit when these denominations do not agree with each other?

They can't all be, can they?

Forgive me...

The Scripture clearly says that after the death of Christ we recieved discernment of this
Many people make the claim that scipture clearly states this or that. Yet disagreement continues!!!

In other words you can quote a verse the you claim is clearly stated, but some will make the claim that you are wrong!

More the reason why theology fails. Thanks for realizing that.

Sorry, I didn't make it clear enough.....Studying Christ is fine. I didn't say theology is bad, I said it fails. There is a big difference. I study Christ. I'm sure everyone who reads a Bible studies Christ.

Sorta...

Another reason it fails is because the fact that it's all "theory", hence the "theo" in theology.

Sorry, but you're dead wrong here.

Theo comes from "Theos," which is Greek for God. You are attempting to Anglicize a root prefix.

Side Note: I thought there was a difference between Christology and Theology. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Christology is a type of Theology. It is the theology of Christ.

Theology Fails

You foolish Bannana :)

I am no fool :) (ok so i am a little bit foolish. But how many people aren't?)

You raised

I think not! I raised nothing, especially dead people. I simply stated and it is up to others to respond or not. But I suppose that from your POV that it would seem that I "Raised" since I, being a fairly educated human being, should know by now that this is a very touchy subject.

a age-old debate which is yet to be agreeable on.
I don't know how old this debate is, I wonder if the majority of Theologins have agreed on one or the other.

This thread (if it continues) will turn into something else and many thoughts and opinions will sprout out of it.

Praise God! if that happens :)

That is my point, which takes me back to, "which is the right choice."

Yep!

Good luck with that.

For me... Theologically, I follow the Apostolic Christian Churches.

For communion... I go to The Orthodox Churches.

Forgive me...

Good luck with that as well. I take it you believe that God would not allow the ACC's to be corrupted?

I believe that at least one of them will survive "in tact" until he returns... honestly I expect that it will just barely survive.

My bet is on The Church of Jerusalem. That's where he started.

Forgive me...

All we have is what was revealed. The Holy Spirit does not make interpretation for individuals as Christ did for the Apostles.

It was laid down once, for all. We follow.

Forgive me...

"It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit"- Luke 2:26

That he would live to see the Christ. Was that about scripture or Theology?

No, It was about him, and what he would do and see.

Mary was told by Gabriel that she would bear the Christ. Does that mean that angels talk to everyone about Theology?

BTW ~ Did you know that St. Simeon was the translator of the Hebrew OT to Greek? Same guy.

Forgive me...
