Zayit,

I am glad you are home. I will continue to hold your family up in prayer.

I believe the federal law mandates that an employee has 30 days of insurance after being layed off or terminated, and there is a provision for continuation of benefits which allows you to pay for your insurance premiums yourself and remain within the group policy and provisions. Perhaps your husband can check into his rights.

But that may have to wait, when I got home my dog had a seizure and my husbands company called and he has lost his job because of a major account of theirs, Harley Davidson's workers going on strike. They said that when the strike is over they will call him back, but still we don't know and don't have any savings whatsoever, and my dog has been throwing up three times in the past 8 hours. The insurance coverage my husband has ( had) runs out the first day of lay off which is today. :sigh:

So as you can see things are still a bit up in the air and I still could use your prayers. We are also in a deep freeze here so the fuel oil is being used up quickly.

:sigh: February is turning out already to be a not so great month.

Again, I thank each and every one of you who posted and prayed, I feel it is all I have at this point.

 ~Z

Zayit, I will continue to prayer for you and your husband. My father and brother-in-law both work for the Harley Davidson plant that went on strike last week. My sister and brother-in-law have 3 small children and not enough money in their savings to even pay 1 month's mortgage, plus no insurance, so I can understand what you are going through with that. We are praying that this strike will be short lived because it is affecting so many other families than the 2700 that work at that plant! May Abba continue to heal you and give you His strength during this time!

welcome back Zayit:clap:, My DH had what you have and his went away pretty soon after his tests.(we had to call 911 and paramedics came and got him, I was terrified!).....He was over worked, over weight, and out of shape......since then our whole family is rallying around him to fix this......one thing he did was stop all caffine and start drinking wine in the evening....He misses his Starbucks but loves his glass of vino which we werent drinking at all for the past 2 years(not really drinkers any way)to help send a message of love and support to our son when he turned 18....kinda a reverse peer pressure to show him our family values his obedience to God to stay pure.....well DH needed to relax and the DR said and it was either wine or a pill which would do the same thing...Well we dont like pills......we also started on the Zone diet, the whole family:clap::clap:did...He has lost 15 Lbs so far, and I have lost 10 and he is exersizing alittle everyday....It was soooo scary when it happened I can imagine what you and your husband went going thru.....I'm sooo glad your ok, tell your Husband thanks for letting us know so we could pray......

we are still praying for complete recovery

Zayit - eh, nothing like a little more stress when the Dr says no more stress! yikes!

I'll continue to pray for HaShem's will and peace for you all, including your pup..

I understand about having to have costly tests when there is no money.... I just had to have a MRI of the brain and had to go 'hat in hand' to the hospital finance officer to determine if I could and how much it would cost me. The test was a $3,000 and at our income we qualified for 100% grace. That may not include the cost of the Radiologist's reading but it has allowed me to get the test. Perhaps you hospital has a patient assistance program you could check out??

Zayit & Jack,

I'm praying for you. Hold on with all that is within you. God will not allow more than you can handle to come upon you. You are in His grip and He will not let go. :)

 I am glad that you are ok and sorry about your husband's job and the insurance problems.
My dh was laid off of work a couple of years ago and had no job for almost 6 months and since then he has had a job that is contract with no insurance.
And we have 3 kids.
For a long time I prayed for health insurance.
We still don't have any.
But, I realized, that even though the Lord is not in the health insurance business, He is in the health business.
And we have been relatively healthy for the past two years since we have not had insurance.
I think the Lord has used this situation to teach me to trust in Him more.

He cares for us always and I am sure He is caring for you and your family as well.

May the Lord be your peace, faith and hope and may you enjoy His presence in your life.:prayer:

Thank you all for your continued prayers.

It has been taking some adjusting to my heart medicine, I am tired all the time and have experienced several dizzy spells. I think I have finally caught up on my sleep and have not fallen asleep right after dinner as I had for the first three nights home. I got to actually stay up and watch the video my husband had rented right before I went into the hospital, One night with the King, I tried to watch it two different times and fell asleep in the first few minutes. I stayed awake long enough last night but I can't say it was worth it, I was pretty disappointed.

My Husband called work and they told him that he does have until the end of Feb. What I had remembered reading in his handbook was for those "laid -off" instead of being fired that their medical and other insurance expired the same day.

I am not sure about the lay off though. He talked to a friend last night from there and he told him that they are in a turmoil and have laid off many more people, to the point that the maintanance staff is the supervisor only. So he went on Tuesday to an open house and they were very impressed with his resume and called him back shortly after he arrived home to come in today for a tour of the plant, so I would appreciate prayer for wisdom on this.

I will also be looking for a family physician today so please pray that I pick someone compatable. One of the doctors I had in the hospital was a nightmare, for those who have seen the Movie, Left Behind, he looked just like Carpathia, (see below) and acted very much like him, Had the worst G-d complex I have ever witnessed. But more about that later when I share my Kosher/not so Kosher hospital experience. :)
