  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Think someone can explain to me the basic outline or plot of the show? I saw one episode before when I was on a camping trip, and it didn't make much sense.

It was the one where Yuska was lying in a burning buliding and some girl comes to rescue him.

And then there was some talk about an egg hatching or something. I don't know, I couldn't understand it.

Can anyone explain the plot to me?

You mean Yu Yu Hakusho? (Ghost report)

Without giving too much away....the first part of the show is about how Yusuke (who's really a punk and a trouble maker) dies saving a little boy. No one in the underworld/spirit world (where all the souls go when they die to be judged, etc..) expected this to happen, so Yusuke gets a chance to return to his body with the help of Botan (the grim reaper...the blue haired chick with the pink kimono who flies on an oar)

First though he has to prove he's really changed into a good person. Hence the egg. The egg feeds of Yusuke's energy. If his energy is good, the creature inside will be good and will help Yusuke..blah blah blah...if the energy he feeds the creature is bad, the thing that will hatch from the egg will be evil and devour Yusuke's soul!

Then later Yusuke becomes the spirit detective and has to track down criminals from the demon world and solve cases, etc...

It gets more involved and much more interesting..but I don't want to give anything away.

they used to play it everyday on adult swim, they started the show at episode 1, i got into the show, and 2 episodes after the genkai tournament, they took it off the air for dragonball. Now they play it once a week, on saturdays at 11:00 pm, and they started it all over, finally after 9 weeks or so, they finally got back to the last episode i lesft off. If u want 2 get into it see the first couple of episodes first, then u know whats goin on.

I used to watch that on Cartoon Network last year. I was actually kind of obsessed. It was great. Yusuke actually reminded me of someone I knew.

That is, until I was invited to an anime club at the town library by my crush and ended up being forced to watch him display public affection with his girlfriend-I-didn't-know-he-had. ::sob::

It's a good series. The anime and the manga where both finished a long time ago, although. But they were just recently deemed worthy of a U.S. release. Back when it was initially released in Japan, the U.S. was not ready for it. I don't know the exact years it was released, but it would have been butchered worse than DBZ and Sailor Moon in order to be acceptable on television.

The anime is farther along (in the U.S.) than the manga, but I like the manga better.
