CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In austin it's cloudy and warm. In Salt Lake it's cold, windy, and cloudy. No snow to speak of in either cities.

To all of those who make fun of us Canadians for living in the Great White North I say 
Just Kidding We only have about 7 inches of snow here and it's about -16 degrees Celsius here which would be about 3 degrees Fahrenheit. A pretty decent winter day for my area. Our summers seem to be getting hotter here but our winters are staying about the same although Quebec has had some pretty bad flooding. It's like God is having fun confusing people. Just when they say Global warming, he switches it up and then they say climate change and he throws some earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanoes in there to mix things up. I find it rather amusing seeing the scientists scurry around trying to come up with explanations.

Norswede - There is a snow storm in the western part of the U.S. Are you a part of that storm system?
I heard a scientist say that the first step in Global Warming is that it will get cold - like opening a refrigerator door and letting the cold air out. Eventually, the refrigerator will get warm.

What that scientist said sounds pretty convenient to me considering many other ones are admitting that global warming isn't panning out and that climate change is what they're calling it now. There are even scientists saying now that all of the planets are supposedly heating up, not just earth because the sun is actually getting hotter. This fits perfectly with what the Bible says will happen. And I would like to see them explain the increase in more powerful earthquakes and volcanoes in recent years. I believe that the earth will heat up eventually because the Bible says it will not because the scientists say it but it will be a really bumpy ride before then. God is going to show that he's in control. Scientists are struggling to explain events that are unexplainable, if this weren't the case then they would all agree on the same thing.

We, in the Northeast, might be getting a major snowstorm tomorrow. My area somehow missed the last one that hit New York and Philly hard. We might not be as lucky this time.
