That’s what they said when the population was 1 billion too.
-_- do you honestly think the human population could get so large that we form a tight layer on the planet? How would we do any of the things necessary for survival under conditions even close to that?

Also, really, you are going to mention population limit projections that had to occur between 1804 and 1927? Before modern agriculture practices increased the number of people we could feed? Regardless of technology, there is going to be some limit as to the number of humans that can live on this planet, even if continual improvements in practices to produce food make it difficult to estimate.

Who knows? All we know for sure about Shem is that he is a character in a story.
Well if Brightmoon believes that lie you just propagated, then it's no wonder he shouted THATS NONSENSE!!!

Why is it that people assume someone scientifically literate is male?

Because Satan is a male.

In the absence of a gender, the male gender is considered appropriate as a pronoun.

Even inanimate objects get referred to as "he" or "she".

XD weird justification for assuming a person that disagrees with you is male.

Ha, post that on tumb1r and watch people get triggered.

It's weirder in languages in which all objects have genders by default. For example, in Spanish, all hands are referred to as if female, even though the word "manos" looks like a masculine noun. The hands is thus "las manos". -_- Spanish also has 5 different variations of "the" and don't even get me started on the verb tenses.

You type kinda masculine, I thought you were male as well.

I wasn't talking about her.

I was talking about the "scientifically literate" people she mentioned.
Why is it that people assume someone scientifically literate is male?
I assume scientifically literate people are male, because their boss is.

(Albeit I do believe the muses, who work for Satan through the halls of academia, are females.)

QV please:
Who is "Satan"?
The leader of the nine muses (fallen angels), which includes Urania (?), the goddess of science.

And here's another:
Warden of the Storm said:
And what does have to do with either creation or evolution?
AV1611VET said:
Isn't Darwin considered the Father of Evolution?

If he was, I'm tempted to say Succubus was the mother, but I'll go with one of the muses instead.

(Interesting that the nine muses are females, isn't it?)

Nope, simple genetic fact.
Just like your 'two middle easterners (brother and sister with Ham as daddy maybe?) mated and an Asian and an African popped out' fact?
It’s the way family trees work. No matter how many families you start with, if they share ancestory, they all converge back to two in the beginning.
Providing you arbitrarily stop at a certain point.
Funny how you folks think - once had a creationist cite an article in the NYT science section regarding the Felidae - he claimed that it proved that all felids can be traced back to one 'cat mother' and therefore no evolution.
I read the article, and noticed that it referred to a scientific publication, which I also read. And in the actual scientific article, not only did the Felids join with non-Felids in the phylogenetic tree, it also joined with things like civets and such - it was just that the focus of the NYT article was cats, so the discussion stopped there.
YECs are so funny.

Nope, simple genetic fact.

Nothing in genetics suggests that human population ever consisted of only 2 individuals.
None at all. Au contraire.

It’s the way family trees work

It isn't.

No, they don't.

It’s inescapable

Perhaps in the mind of someone who doesn't understand one iota of population genetics.

, regardless of how much you might want to avoid it.

Regardless of how much you wish to believe your bronze age myth.

Only in fantasy land do you start with more.

Yeah, better live in reality and believe in magical physically impossible floods and talking snakes.

You know, I'd bother replying, except @DogmaHunter has not only beat me to it, but put forth a rebuttal that would have easily been better than mine... :D LOL!

@DogmaHunter , Top Job! Keep up the good work! :p

Curiously, that post of mine did not get a reply.
I'm guessing the hope is that it will be lost in the pages.
