Your story on why you are single

Well here is my story on why I am single:
There are many reasons why I am single but I will share the main reasons. First of all, believe it or not the longest relationship was with a guy for only 3 weeks. Its true, sad as it may sound.There were other guys I dated a few times but the main reasons they dated was because they were "lonely" or "desperate".(That goes for the guy who I dated the longest) Secondly, I do not trust guys.
It seems like nowadays the guys that are single are all the same. They seem so immature and so.......Thirdly, I am 31 and set on my own ways now. Finally, I love my independence without answering to anyone.
There is a lot of reasons but they are the main.

WOEH...so true NewLight....
This has happened to me 98 % of my life!!! The desperate or lonely guys just want to go out with me. See I do NOT look like society...you know FAKE and they just do not like me for that. I have a VERY sweet looking face and NOT a turned up nose (like society says that women should have... )SO therefor they only USE me. LIKE you, this is one of the reasons I want to remain single. Another reason is when I am shopping the guy will look at my "body" BUT when they see my face...you know sensitive skin and a NON turned up nose they look the other way. PLUS unlike you NewLight, I do not possess that "intellectul look". I just look I guess nieve and SWEET. PLUS once a guy knows that I am SOOOOO sensitive they feel that I am SO easy to use......EVEN MY EX FIANCE was like that!!!!!
Heck I get more respect from my little stuffed animals....

The same goes for me that lonely guys and desperate guys would go out with me. That is hogwash! I don't believe in changing my appearance for a guy . Its not worth it. Its amazing to me that some people actually change themselves to that degree.

I guess God thinks I'm best left alone for the moment. I'm fervently hoping this is not going to continue though, but meanwhile I'm praying for the ability to accept His will, whatever it may be.

After my ex-girlfriend broke up with me I pretty much lost the ability to completely trust anyone.

Plus I have yet to meet a girl outside of the web who has attracted my interest the way she did.

I am single because all the wrong guys ask me out. A Christian man has never asked me out. If he isn't Christian then I wouldn't go out with him. The bible tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbeliever. He doesn't share the greatest joy or love in my life it wouldn't work out. I wouldn't want to try to convert him because only God can save people. It all happens in God's timing if it is our will to get married one day. I am also single because I love my indepedence. Another reason is because of past experiences. It is hard for me to get close to anyone. I would rather please God then man.

I'm single because I realized I was settling, and it wasn't worth it. I realized I would rather be by myself than with a woman who wasn't interesting, affectionate, or a Christian. I decided that, in the future, I would only date a woman who I really wanted to be with, and since then, I haven't found one who wanted to date me.

Hmmm, reason I'm single? Ultimately I guess it's because I choose to be, although I'd rather not be! I've never even had a boyfriend, there have been a few guys who were interested, but either I wasn't interested or else I didn't find out they were interested until I'd moved out of the area. But looking back I can see how a relationship between us wouldn't have worked out. I could probably get a boyfriend fairly easily if I wanted to play the dating game, but I've always had more of a serious view on dating and I'm not going to date someone just so I can say I have a boyfriend. I'm pretty serious about my relationship with God and if he doesn't share that passion then I can guarentee you a relationship won't work. Unfortunately I haven't encountered any guys that seem to have that passion in my town. So, for now I'm single trying to focus in more on God, but boy is that hard at times!

Hm... I don't know.

I could say that I've been hurt too much, but I've been hurt a lot in other areas of life as well, and yet I am still here, still kicking, and not giving up so easily.

I could also say that it's because there's nobody that I'm interested in that way or attracted to, but that would not be the entire truth (although there would need to be that mutuality clause in there somewhere).

Timing? Well, I guess that would be the rub then. It's just not a suitable time for a relationship right now.

Either which way, I am interpreting God's will is for me to remain single right now, and I'm satisfied with that.

My ex left me after 17 yrs, then the kids came first, another 16 yrs, so here I am.......waiting. I'd love to remarry, but only if it's the man He has for me and I don't see anyone on the horizon. That said, He is my portion!!
