This is definitely my life song...

"To Live is Christ"
by Kate Wray

I make a vow
My life will always honor Christ
Whether I live or die

I belong to Him
He bore my sin
I owe this life to my saving King

Hallelujah
I am not my own
You are in control
Hallelujah

Chorus
For me to live is Christ
And to die is gain
No matter what price I pay
I choose to give this life away

Bridge
Only by the cross I am saved
Only by the cross I am saved
:amen:

Everytime I hear, or even think about this particular song, it always moves me and ministers to my spirit. Often times bringing tears to my eyes. These few but powerful words from the apostle Paul sums up all that we are in Jesus. I live for Christ, everything I do is in Christ and will die for Christ. I dedicate my whole life to Him. Glory be to God!

(ps: I also love the version of this by the Parachute Band.)

Bryan Duncan - Strollin' on the Water.

This tune is like a cornerstone for me. It really gets to me. Whenever life gets me down, this one reminds me that when all the troubles of the world are peeled away, it's all about walking with Jesus Christ is what makes life so worth living. All the loneliness and frustrations of my life just fall away... and my faith is renewed. Besides, when I'm alone at night and walking the beach under a huge bowl full of stars, I walk out into the water under the moon and raise my hands... and this is the tune I'm singing. Never heard it? Find it on realrhapsody or somewhere else. It's an incredible, simple worship song. And if you do find it - crank it on a good stereo. I promise you it's worth it.

Open up my eyes, I pray
Lord, for just a little glimpse of you
That's all I need, it's all I've ever needed
To see beyond myself, beyond this tiny, little world
All your hands have made
With beauty and strength alone
I can see you comin' to me now
Oh, like a shimmerin' light
Shimmerin' light on an open sea
Barefoot on the water
Laughin' at the ocean
Like you were old friends
Callin' out my name
Saying join me now

Strollin' on the water
High over every care
Strollin' on the water
Sinking no longer
Let me rise above the high tide
I can do it, I'll do it, yeah
I know where my strength comes from

Help me cut these bonds where I keep my spirit tied
All safe and dry
Safe and dry, but so afraid
Let me come to you
Let me run to you
With my heart still beating
Beating in my throat
With my sweaty palms and mouth so dry
Shakin' 'til I can't stand still
All I'm askin'
All I'm askin' is to let me cross
That great divide between you and I
Only you can take me there
So take me there, yeah!
Strollin' on the water
High over every care
Strollin' on the water
Sinking no longer
Let me rise above the high tide
I can do it, I'll do it, yeah
I know that you said, "follow me"

Just let the water flow
Let it go
Oh keep your eyes on me
Do you feel alive?
Try turnin' circles, yeah
Bend your knees
And hold your hands up high
Can you feel the wind in your hair?
With your eyes closed
Take a breath of fresh air
Feel the mist on your toes
Look where we are!

Strollin' on the water
High over every care
Strollin' on the water
Sinking no longer
Strollin' on the water
High over every care
Strollin' on the water
Sinking no longer
Let me rise above the high tide
I can do it, I'll do it, yeah
I know where my strength comes from
Strollin' on the water
High over every care
(I know where my strength comes from)
Strollin' on the water
Sinking no longer
Strollin' on the water
High over every care
(I know where my strength comes from)
Strollin' on the water
Sinking no longer
Strollin' on the water
High over every care
Strollin' on the water
Sinking no longer

My life song. My prayer.

Something Beautiful by Jars of Clay.

Part of it goes:

What I get from my reflection
Isn't what I thought I'd see
Give me reason to believe
Never leave me incomplete
Will you untie this loss of mine
It so easily defines me
Do you see it on my face?
And all I can think about
Is how long
I've been waiting to feel you move me

Close my eyes and hold my heart
Cover me and make me something
Change this something normal
Into something beautiful

Maroon 5-She Will Be Loved

The chorus strikes a chord with me:

"I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved"

Yeah, I will be loved by a man someday.

My life song right now is Believe.
Music: Sir Elton John
Lyrics: Bernie Taupin (who else? :D)

"I believe in love, it's all we got
Love has no boundaries, costs nothing to touch
War makes money, cancer sleeps
Curled up in my father and that means something to me
Churches and dictators, politics and papers
Everything crumbles sooner or later
But love, I believe in love

I believe in love, it's all we got
Love has no boundaries, no borders to cross
Love is simple, hate breeds
Those who think difference is the child of disease
Father and son make love and guns
Families together kill someone
Without love, I believe in love

Without love I wouldn't believe
In anything that lives and breathes
Without love I'd have no anger
I wouldn't believe in the right to stand here
Without love I wouldn't believe
I couldn't believe in you
And I wouldn't believe in me
Without love

I believe in love
I believe in love
I believe in love"

When we have lost evrything else we still have love.

Diane

Mine is "My Help" by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir

Lyrics

I will lift up mine eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
The Lord which made heaven and earth.
He said, He would not suffer thy foot, thy foot to be moved.
The Lord which keepeth thee, He will not slumber nor sleep.
Oh the Lord is thy keeper the Lord is thy shade
Upon thy right hand, upon thy right hand.
No the sun shall not spite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
He shall preserve thy soul, even forevermore.
My help, my help, my help, all of my help cometh from the Lord.

Oh the Lord is thy keeper the Lord is thy shade
Upon thy right hand upon thy right hand.
No the sun shall not spite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

There is a song that goes through the whole entire Bible from Genesis to Revelations. Forget the title & band!! Shucks!
Oyyy I've heard that song too!! Ugh, and I KNOW my mom's got the CD somewhere! ARGH!! I think it's either Phillips, Craig, and Dean or Aaron*Jeffrey who sing it? Ugh, I know it was a couple of guys who sang it. The ONLY part I remember is when they said, "In Nehemiah..." Lame, I know. But blah, I can't recall the name of the song either.

To live is Christ is a very powerful song, I first heard it at parachute 2005, I had quite a conviction as i sung those words.
