I love hearing about the stories behind signatures (as well as avatars and usernames) so I'm curious, what inspired your signature? Feel free to tell about your signature and your favorite ones!

My current signature is just two quotes I thought up, an animated pixel drawing I made for fall, and the last line is pretty self-explanatory. All the text is in lavender, my favorite color. I made it lighter and smaller than my usual text so it wouldn't look too similar.

I have seen many awesome signatures on here. :)

Made my sig because I've been too depressed to get into many debates, yet wanted to somehow respond to what I've seen as the SJW revival on these forums. Sadly many anti-SJWs for whatever reason post less here currently.

Well, when I returned to CF in 2014 after being gone for a year and a half, I wanted to change my screen name to a transliteration of Hebrew to reflect how I now identified as Messianic. The name "Mikha'el" was already taken, so after seeing another CF Singles Messianic member using the dots, I figured I'd add them as well to ensure I had a unique moniker. :D As for your second question, I'll answer to either one, have never cared, and probably never will. :ahah:

As for my sig, it's a memorial to a former mod I worked with for just a very brief time who lost a cancer battle several years ago, and I never saw any reason I would have to remove it. :)

My signature is a quote (probably mis-)attributed to Winston Churchill. I'm confident it's the kind of thing he would have agreed with, at any rate.

It's been said that success often comes after a series of failures in which we learn and grow. "Enthusiasm" comes from the Greek word "enthous," meaning "possessed by a god." Enthusiasm is not an emotion or an overwhelming sense of excitement, but a reminder to me that failure is not final nor fatal, but an opportunity to learn from mistakes and grow closer to God in the process.

Enthusiasm is to be like God, who created us in His image and likeness. It is a steady persistence in love, wherein we have the ability to forgive ourselves and others for mistakes and failures. It's okay to take a moment to learn from failure.

In short, failure is an option, but givin' up I ain't heard of. As long as we waddle on, we can find success.

I have "Show people's signatures with their messages" turned off in my preferences as some people can have massive signatures that I'm not particularly interested in seeing, so I tend to forget that I have one myself as I never see it. My signature is a quote from "The Art of Reason", a song by prog-metal band Threshold.

Everyone's deep and inspirational signatures. Lol. Mine, to all of y'all who wouldn't get it, probably is so lame.

The context of the movie scene in which this line is spoken is actually quite profound. A sort of "a-ha" moment. It's a very serious scene but the line is executed dryly and humorously, because no matter what peril you face, never lose your sense of humor.

I generally always have a verse in mine. One that I think is a good one to keep as a reminder. I haven't really changed my signature in a while becauae I still find the verse to be a good reminder right now.

It's a quote from one of my all time favorite video games silent hill 2. as to it's meaning? well no one really knows Silent Hill leaves a lot to the player to decided. Personally I think it refers to the hole in James heart he has from mercy killing his wife, it's absents is him coming to terms with what he's done and finding the closure he needs.

I remember the matchbook scene most of all from that movie.

Mine is from an obscure Canadian public access TV show called the Red Green Show. It was on in the late 80's and 90's. Quirky and funny show about an older guy who liked to fix things with duct tape...

My signature is his sign off line at the end of the show.

I remember that show. I don't recall much, but I remember his face.

The first words in my signature are sort of my own reflection on what it is to live my Earthly life as a believer in Jesus Christ and a child of God, and not just for myself because i see things in this way as a knight, but rather i imagine many others would empathize, seeing a constant struggle between light and darkness in their own lives.

The second half of my signature is a personal guideline for myself, how I should think and behave as a knight who possesses the worldview and spirituality that he does. Never raise a sword in anger and certainly never in the name of righteousness. There is nothing ever righteous in shedding blood regardless of who one's enemy is. To put it another way, my signature is saying that the sword I hold as a knight should not be an actual physical weapon to fight flesh and blood enemies, but should be the principle of kindness and nobility, and wielded only against the principalities and powers of darkness - NOT the actual human beings who may be enslaved under those powers of darkness.
