I just came across this video showing a live recording of music for the start menu of a video game.
To be honest, I find this a bit depressing for one reason. There are definitely great works of art that have come out of the Church, but sometimes I feel like we are very quick to settle for less. These people are putting so much effort into something so temporal, and yet it's beautiful sounding and so much work! Shouldn't we, who have a far greater purpose to live for be creating things at least as impressive and beautiful?
Again, I'm not saying that Christians don't do this, but a lot of Christians could put all their efforts into glorifying God with their talents, but a lot of them don't really try that hard. They settle for less because it's "good enough for the Church." But is that really glorifying to God?
