Sir Elton John of course. The old Rod Stewart-what's up with him trying to become Frank Sinatra?!?!?

Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Annie Lennox, George Michael, Harry Connick, Jr., Tony Bennett, Pavarotti, etc. My interests cover a wide range of artists.

I noticed several of you said Elton John.

My husband and I have a rivalry... Elton or Elvis. :p
no way, Elvis Costello is better. I love his raspy, smoky, night club, piano bar voice. His voice has character.

I agree with the previous posters who mentioned Angela Gossow, Rod Stewart [who is AMAZING live].

And Frank Sinatra. Of course, of course. Beyond talented.

I also think Peter Steele [Type O Negative], Chris Cornell [Audioslave, Soundgarden], & David Lee Roth [Van Halen] are also very talented.

cobain yes, tyler no.........he just sounds like he's always wailing and flailing about
just my opinion :tutu:
he is wailing and flailing about lol ...but his vocals have octives that a hawk couldnt reach... king of scream lol

i also like many others, but nirvana, Kurt Cobain in particular, just had something 'captivating' and real about the feeling in the lyrics AND the music... in my opinion he WAS grunge rock and theres been none since

Steven Tyler's vocal on "Don't Want To Miss A Thing" is part of what makes that one of my Favorite songs.
yes i agree... i got to say too i was very pleasantly surprised with his tune "livin on the edge'... i thought it actually had a christian/prophetic flavor to it
