  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oops! I didn't mean to post this up here. :sorry:

Romans 8:18 > …..For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us! Amp.

This means to me that if I suffer as He did I will also share in His glory. If I put to death my carnal nature, my fleshly appetites, and walk after the Spirit, doing the things that please God, I will walk in newness of life. The dying I do to my desires, which are in oppostion to God are in direct porportion to the His life manifested in me. I desire His glory, so much so, I can almost taste it. Truth is, I guess you could say I have tasted, and the Lord is good!

So the question is - how much life do I want? How much do I want to glorify Him? If I am His, I am led by the Spirit, and will put to death the flesh, not fulfilling its lusts, those things that are enmity, opposed to God.

In Him is life. I choose life.

I have more on this too. :D

Matthew 3:16-17 "Jesus, when he was baptized, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming on him. Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."

I love these verses because it shows a perfect example of the Holy Trinity -- The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were all present in glory.

And the verses in my signature: Proverbs 2:3-9 "Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of the saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path."

Speaks for itself. :)

1 Corinthians 13:11 "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."

And this one too.

I actually have a couple:

II Timothy 1:7:
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love & a sound mind.

I Peter 5:7:
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

This brings soo much comfort when I start to worry about things that I either cannot control or things that havnet even happend. When ever I get that overwhelming sense of fear inside, I speak this word. Lets me now that I am not in control of anything, the Lord is. AMEN!!!!

Take care of me as I will be with Him in heaven
Just don't take me right away Lord

Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.

Daniel 10:12 reminds me to turn my heart toward God so that I may know Him and be heard.

Hey, Enacielle777, you posted a scripture every day, but yesterday. Don't stop! :D
Had to take a few days off becuase of work/family/events. Back now...

Ready to go...

Here it is!

Another interesting scripture that reminds me when I don't know what to pray...I can still pray because the Spirit will cry out for me!

Galatians 4:6

Because you are God's children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into us to call out, "Abba! Father!"

I never thought about that one for prayer, when not knowing what to pray, but I see it now. It's the Spirit within. This ties in perfectly with Rom.8:27 > God, who looks into our hearts, knows the mind of the Spirit. And the Spirit prays for God's people just as God wants him to pray.

1Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart,
2saying, "In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man.
3"There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, 'Give me legal protection from my opponent.'
4"For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, 'Even though I do not fear God nor respect man,
5yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.'"

This is my favorite, necause Jesus was telling us how to pray,(not to lose heart)

and that is what this forum is all about! I love it when I can see scripture in a new light...without being pushed into it...without someone arguing with me about it...I love to listen to what people see or hear when they read the Word! I love just sharing insight rather than arguing who is right! This forum has been great because you have all taught me other ways to look at scripture and shared scripture I haven't read in a while!

Well...off to the movies with my husband for a "date." You all have a blessed afternoon and evening. I am going to hear Heidi Baker speak tonight and expect to have some scripture to share tomorrow night or Monday with you based upon what I hear from Him during the speaking! I am going expecting...blessings...love...renewed strength...excitement...so much...expecting...

Be blessed all!

Have a wonderful time at the meeting.

I am going to a ladies meeting tonight to hear Glenda Watson from South Africa. She has been a great blessing as I've heard her a couple of times.

Here's one I was reading this morning.

Jeremiah 33:9 > And [Jerusalem] shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth that hear of all the good I do for it, and they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace, prosperity, security, and stability I provide for it. Amp.

This may have been originally prophesied to the nation of Israel but I take it personally. It says in Romans that we’ve been grafted into the vine. It also says we have better promises established on a better covenant so I think it is more than safe to assume this is for us too.

Imagine so much good that we fear and tremble for all the good He does for us. So much good that all the nations see, all the people in our lives who do not yet know the Lord will see and this will bring Him joy, praise and glory.

I see over and over, both in scripture and in real life today, that the goodness of God always brings Him praise and glory. Every time Jesus healed someone the Bible says they glorified God, or there was great joy in that city. What’s more it brings God joy. I’ve never seen in the Word where it says anyone remained sick and all the people rejoiced and God received glory.

No, that is not what brings God glory. Dump what religion says and look at the Word!

I have tears in my eyes as I think of bringing God joy. How that is my desire. And to think, He gets joy over doing me good! How good a God He is! How wonderful, how perfect. I cannot express my love adequately, nor the adoration I feel as I look upon Him.

I chose the Amplified version of this scripture because it seems to most accurately depict the word prosperity rendered in the KJV. The Hebrew word is shalom. I found shalom to mean safety, health, prosperity, and peace. I’ve heard others have found from Hebrew scholars that it literally means “nothing missing, nothing broken”. It certainly seems to be all inclusive.

Just look at what this says, all the good and all the peace, prosperity, security, and stability I provide for it. I can’t get over the word “all” in there. All the good, all the shalom, so much that everyone around takes notice. So much that we fear and tremble. This fear is not “afraid” fear. It is “awe” fear. I have had God’s presence on me so strongly manifested that I trembled in awe. I’ve a notion here that we’ve only had a taste. I believe there is so much more. I don’t think it has been on me yet where everyone around took notice. I want that, not because I want to be noticed, oh no. No one will get much by noticing me. I want them to notice my God, my wonderful, beautiful, glorious God. I want to be to Him a joy, yes, to bring Him joy, praise and glory.

Wow! That is all I can say. I stand in awe of the wonders of God and how much He does for us. Cindy...what you shared says a lot of what is on my heart from the conference. Turns out the speaker was "stuck" in the midwest and didn't make it to tonights conferences. Instead, the ministry team (four kids) ministered by sharing about God's power. There was a definite healing annointing in the air, but more so there was freedom and revival. God gives us ALL the tools we need...we just have to trust Him and turn them over to Him. When we do this...we are able to please Him. I received two prophetic words and one of the involved Psalms 91 and 34...about angels camping around me and the joy of the Lord...WOW...Listen (or read) part of Psalm 34...

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing...
Wow! Not only do we have all that we need....but if we fear God, we will lack NOTHING...sometimes, we may feel like we have all that we need but we are still lacking things..such as the joy of the spirit or gentleness...but those who fear the Lord will LACK NOTHING! We will have everything we need and then some!

My brother is sick with Ulcerative Colitis...they say it is incurable. He came to church and turned his life over to Jesus on March 19 of this year. He was on fire. He was serving the Lord, sharing the Good News...expecting to be healed. However, it didn't manifest itself in Him yet for whatever reason and now my brother is in a bad way. His illness is worse than ever, his attitude is horrible...and he just isn't doing well. I spent the entire time tonight in the service standing in the gap for my brother. I am want to see him healed and serving God. I want to see him happy again. He is only 23...my entire family is watching him waiting to see God move...will God move in his life becuase of my faith? Jesus did for the three friends of the man who lowered him through the roof...Jesus said because of their faith he was healed...(I forget the scripture reference)...I am standing in faith and trusting that my brothers healing with manifest itself...my mother has said if he is healed with no medication or surgery, she will not only be in church but she will be dancing up front! Praise God...Hallelujah...that day is coming...

That was a tangent...and it probably isn't the appropriate place for it, but I feel like it is...so I am going to leave it. Thanks for listening!

Praise God for what He is doing.

Have a blessed night's sleep and a blessed morning!

I pray you are truly blessed by Him and His Word tonight!

What the Lord said to me was of a personal nature. As for what Glenda shared, that's for everyone.

Glenda Watson has a ministry in restoration, restoration for the broken in heart, those wounded in life. That's pretty much all of us, to one degree or another.

Glenda's text was from Ez. 16. She has an understanding of symbolic things in scripture, which she shared as she went. She spoke of the pain in her life and how the Lord has healed her. She spoke of forgiving the man who had murdered her husband when she was but 23 with 3 small children, after that, of marrying a man who did not love her, being divorced at 30, raising 5 children alone. For 5 yrs. she had 5 children who were all backslidden because of the pain in their own lives. She told how she overcame in all that. She has a whole heart today and leads a victorious life in Christ Jesus.

Since it was a ladies meeting, she spoke of the marriage bed. She likened the family to the tabernacle, the bedroom to the innercourt, and the marraige bed to the holy of holies. The marriage bed is holy to God, which is why He said nothing should defile it. It is a place of great intimacy, a place where there should be no fear, but open communication. The devil desparately tries to destroy that. He wants to destroy the family because he hates the family, so he will target your marriage bed.

She speaks in many nations around the world, is more orten abroad than at home. Many tell her of their own pain. She says the state of marriages in the church today is shocking. One young, beautiful lady, after leading anointed worship in a very large church, not but 30 yrs. old, came to her to say she hasn't let her husband touch her in 10 yrs. She had been the victim of satanic sexual abuse as she grew up. Both she and her husband graduated from a great Bible college and I'm sure on the outside you would think the best of them. And we should. I'm sure they are fine people. Yet, there is such pain there.

God says, "Live." That is what is in Ez. 16. This is what He says to His people, "Live."

Glenda shared so much anointed Word with us. She is powerfully anointed. If you ever get the chance to hear her, do, although in the states, she speaks mostly to hundreds in high security prisons. She also went to a place in one city, in another country that the people who lined up the meeting wouln't even go. She had been invited by the vilest, roughest, most notoriously evil gang member to come. Blood runs in the streets there every day. She was offered strong men to accompany her for her protection, but she refused. She went alone to this horrid, dangerous place to share Jesus, the wonderful, anointed Jesus. I forgot how many were there, but they were in tears and many received the Lord.

She had the priviledge of recently leading a head of a nation to the Lord, I think of Indonesia. She traveled to so many places, I've forgotten exactly where. She went because the wife of this man needed prayer. While she was there she laid hands on him and prayed. She prayed freely in English since he doesn't speak it, and he saw Jesus! He described Him to her, and she in turn to us. The man couldn't stop talking about Him for 2 hrs. He couldn't get over why Jesus would come to him when he didn't even want Him, why He would choose him when he hated Him and wanted nothing to do with Him. Oh the love of God! The man had had a pain in his heart for 2 wks. and when he saw Jesus he was healed, the pain gone.

17 > so then the faith [is] by a report, and the report through a saying of God, YLT
or as the KJV puts it, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Faith doesn't come out of our head. Faith does not have to worked up, not something you try to muster up in a difficult situation.

Faith comes as a result of hearing what God says. Faith will come. Listen to the Word. Read the Word. Listen to anointed teaching. How do you know if it is anointed?

2 Samuel 5:17-25
17 When the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the stronghold.
18 Now the Philistines had come and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
19 David inquired of Yahweh, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand?" Yahweh said to David, "Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into your hand."

This reminds me when facing difficulties I too should go down to my stronghold of seeking the Lord earnestly in prayer. If God be for you, who can be against you?

20 David came to Baal Perazim, and David struck them there; and he said, "Yahweh has broken my enemies before me, like the breach of waters." Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.

Baal Perazim literally means Master of breakthroughs. This just boost my faith to know that if we follow God in complete obedience, His instructions leads to break through... for He alone is our break through!

21 They left their images there; and David and his men took them away.
22 The Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
23 When David inquired of Yahweh, he said, "You shall not go up. Circle around behind them, and attack them over against the mulberry trees.
24 It shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall stir yourself up; for then Yahweh has gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines."
25 David did so, as Yahweh commanded him, and struck the Philistines from Geba until you come to Gezer.

This is a reminder we may have received an awesome break through in the last battle, but the enemy has not ceased efforts to attack. And the battle plan that may have worked last time is not necessarily how God has chosen to break through on our behalf this time. We still must continuely seek the Lord that we may remain victorious.

Great post! This really blessed me! And this is what I wanted to say when I repped you, just didn't recognize the new format, tried again, and of course it wouldn't let me do it twice, which was not my intent. Sheesh!

As for what I embolded (is this a word?), I don't think I ever caught the "yet again" part, great teaching there!

All of it was so good!
