Doing good works is the life he calls you to live.I'll agree, emotions are not to be our focus, though since most people are emotions, I'd also think emotions have their part to play as well. We're to be doers of the word, I don't think how we worship will land us in hell, as long as we love God and want to help, perhaps that is a better form of worship, and not just doing good works or anything, but living the life he has called us to live. Catholics don't lack questioning and neither does the Orthodox. and questioning is one thing and good to do but being your own pope? deciding what is true and what is not for yourself-- that's relativism.The same could be said at the other end of the spectrum. Lack of questioning, although those in charge have shown questionable motives.
