The gospel and our salvation is rooted in the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. The book of John quotes Christ saying much about us abiding in Him, and the results thereof. If this is the case (which it is), then I would have to conclude that Ms. Daigle is a wolf in sheep's clothing--one of those the bible says will deceive the very elect of Christ. She is a shiny package that sings out glorious melodies tainted with just the smallest bits of poison that send weaker Christians down a road of error. Add to that the fact that she has amassed millions for those at the helm of the music industry--an industry where fame and fortune are at the forefront [READ: pride]. Avoid these people the best you can.
So the poison in Laura's song is...? Almost sounds like petty jealousy.

This song has been number one for quite a while. Read the lyrics and look at the depravity of the Christian music industry. The lyrics to this song are garbage and I consider them unchristian.

You Say

I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know (ooh oh)
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe
The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity, (ooh oh)
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
Oh, I believe
Taking all I have and now I'm laying it at Your feet
You have every failure God, and You'll have every victory, (ooh oh)
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe
Oh I believe (I), yes I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
Oh I believe (oh)
Sounds like a response to intrusive thoughts as a result from calvinist theology.

So the poison in Laura's song is...? Almost sounds like petty jealousy.
The poison is that she sings about christian platitudes, but does not sing about Christ. Furthermore, anyone who goes on a national TV show like Ellen and states that she "doesn't know if homosexuality is a sin", either clearly has not truly accepted Christ as her savior, evident by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit --OR-- she is ashamed/embarrased to proclaim it as a sin --OR-- she doesn't want to be cancelled and lose her fan base/flow of money and jeopardize her musical career.
If I had just five minutes on Ellen, I would have used it as a platform to share how we are all sinners (including homosexuals) but that there is a God that loves us and is willing to forgive us of our sin/pride/errors if we would only surrender to him, confess our sins, repent of them, and then explain the gospel of Christ in 300 words or less. This is what Paul instructs the early church to do in the bible, and it is what should be automatic for anyone who is truly a Christian.

No? So who is this?

Furthermore, anyone who goes on a national TV show like Ellen and states that she "doesn't know if homosexuality is a sin", either clearly has not truly accepted Christ as her savior, evident by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit --OR-- she is ashamed/embarrased to proclaim it as a sin --OR-- she doesn't want to be cancelled and lose her fan base/flow of money and jeopardize her musical career.
Or, she is weak in that area, and does not know Scripture as well as she should. Perhaps God is still working on us all? Cut her some slack.

Well, you would have been right. But maybe your musical gifts would not have gotten you there to begin with. Maybe on the things Lauren is right about (Love, God, etc) she won more people than you being right about something?

This is what Paul instructs the early church to do in the bible, and it is what should be automatic for anyone who is truly a Christian.
Yes apparently Lauren is not perfect. She does have a strong testimony, and a lovely gift though. Who knows, maybe she is not finished learning yet either, and maybe God is not through with her. Perhaps in due time we will all see that, and you will be able to get off your high horse.
