What I am meaning in this posting is that people who like to promote not believing in God when they actually don't believe in him........

If they don't believe in him, then who are they trying to get others not to beleive in?

Common sence please.

Who are you trying to get others to believe or not to believe in when you yourself don't........

Even though you don't believe in something doesn't mean it's not real you know?

It's real whether you know it or not.

Look up and what do you see?

Hi, while not a rule per se, I am fairly certain something such as trying to proseltyize for any other than Christianity (including atheism) is most likely not permitted on cf.

As to real - whether they know or not..

we did not know until the second we came to Christ..

and looking up shows the sky..

one can not make another understand what it takes God to reveal..

I may have said that last sentence wrong, but you know what I mean.

Namaste Noodle,

thank you for the post.

i think we got that from the OP.

If they don't believe in him, then who are they trying to get others not to beleive in?

whomever that person claims is their creator deity, be it the Christian God the Muslim God or any other.. it really depends on the context of the discussion.

Common sence please.

i can argue that Pink Unicorns don't exist and that does not mean that i secretly believe that they do nor does it mean that i accept the premis that they do.

Who are you trying to get others to believe or not to believe in when you yourself don't.

whatever their claim is, i'd imagine.

Even though you don't believe in something doesn't mean it's not real you know?

It's real whether you know it or not.

Look up and what do you see?

i see a ceiling. just because you believe in something doesn't mean its real. it's unreal whether you know it or not.

look within and what do you see?

metta,

~v

....Is how those who don't believe in God spend a lot of time promoting something they don't believe in.

Does that make any since at all?

Or is it the fact that their heart really wants God and they are just too stubborn to call to it?
1. Not funny haha, appearantly.

2. If you want to change the way people think it's not a bad idea to go where the people think the way you want to change. Otherwise you are just preaching to choirs.

Yes, please!

First, I'm not trying to get Christians to stop believing in the existence of God. I don't have the first clue of how to deprogram Christians.

Second, atheists share the world with Christians, and in America in particular atheists are stigmatized by Christians, and so atheists have an incentive to open up a dialog with Christians to help stop disinformation about atheists. I am here mainly for that reason.

Third, even for those atheists who are here to deprogram Christians, they don't have to believe in God to want to get Christians to stop believing in God. The belief in God exists, even if God does not. And some atheists see the belief in God as a problem.

Who are you trying to get others to believe or not to believe in when you yourself don't........

Who? Don't you mean "why"?

Even though you don't believe in something doesn't mean it's not real you know?

My ceiling. If I am lucky, I might get a vision of Ceiling Cat, but that wouldn't mean it is real.
