your body is sinfull, it has all the desires of the flesh with no desires of the goodness of God, but when having faith in Jesus that your sins are forgiven, you hate the lust that is in your flesh. the lust doesnt go away, but you hate it and look forward to the day when you are given a body without the lust for sin

Paul describes this in Romans chapter 7.

his message there is that through faith in Jesus and his message, he desires in his mind to do what is right, but his flesh still lusts after sinfull things, and he hates that, but it is made for him to suffer it until the end of the earth.

Interesting thread
Is the writer speaking to believers in Hebrews here?

(EMTV) You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed, struggling against sin.

If so, its pretty odd that he'd put it that way...why not just tell them to stop struggling against sin altgether if thats what they were supposed to do ?

What exactly are you trying to say?

So it sounds to me like you think God created our sinful bodies? That the physical world is bad! Do I understand what your saying is how you see it?

i think he's saying that a christian hates sinning, even though he has a desire to sin; he hates it because it is against the Father. He's pointing out the continual war with the flesh.

and no, God did not create sinful bodies. He created good bodies. it was our chosing to go against God 'in the beginning' that made us evil. we tried to please ourselves apart from the greater pleasure He offered to us. In essence, we judged the judge and deemed the truth a lie.

(if you're refuring to nature) if the physical world is bad it's because of us.
(if you're refering to physical attraction, lust, and that sort of thing) in itself, it isn't bad. God created all pleasure. however, everything pleasing is not good. there are proper ways to enjoy pleasure. when we go outside of God's law to please ourselves, then it becomes bad, and lusting for what isn't yours is bad. (interesting, its the same mistake we made "in the beginning".)
