Most Christians accept the fact that the Book of Revelation is more accurately: The Revelation of Jesus Christ. But considering that the angel who revealed it all to John told him to write everything that was and is and is to come, and because Christ IS the Word of God...it is no stretch to consider the book of Revelation to be rather a synopsis of the entire word of God, i.e. the Revelation of the Word of God. Which brings me to my point, that the entire word of God, and quite literally, the history of the world, is all about Christ. History...is His story. After all, there is ONLY one begotten. And then, within the pages of His story that make up the overall history of the world...there we are in the midst, i.e. "You are HERE."
All said and done, the history of the world is the story of One begotten, and those "in" Him...and one fallen, and those with him.
The apex of our story centers, curiously enough, not only on the "time" of the Lord, but the "year" of the Lord, and the "day" of the Lord [known as "that" day all throughout the scriptures], and then is reduced to the finer point of: the "hour" of the Lord. Time is an interesting aspect of what is written. First of all, our story [told in time] is about a timeless character. How weird is that! But the same truth about the timeless nature of Christ, is also eluded to when the scriptures hone in on the character of God: that He, for the sake of our time-based minds, is the same yesterday, today, and forever. But then telling it completely straight, yesterday and forever are dropped to the timeless, "I am."
So, "today" is the day of salvation...not because we all don't have our own "today", because we do. But rather, that the days and times of us all...are reduced to who we stand with, during that all important "hour" which...not only has already occurred, but "It is finished." Which, in that rather abstract way of telling the truth about the illusion and true nature of Time, makes all the confusing passages (like the Lord coming "soon") relative to His timelessness rather than to our illusion of time. Time, if you must know, is simply a part of the original "creation." Just as all the world and universe, and mankind, etc. are all a manifestation of the timeless tale of our Lord, so is time, simply, story time. And, just as [Once upon a time] the Lord went through the land gathering together His apostles, He also goes through the entire story, gathering us...who, if you fold the whole tale back up...are simply "in" Him.
But, it is rather important that you understand the true nature and the illusion of Time. If you are "in" Christ, you have become timeless, and are no longer a part of the created illusion. If you never do come "in" to being One with Christ...all the world, remains an illusion...which explains the strange fantasy of a world evolving purely by chance and happenstance, whirling through the greater unknown of space, from and to, who knows where...as if to make sense out of the chaos, like an ant on a leaf in a tornado, settling in for the ride.
So...You are HERE!
