Hello all, I'm researching York so I thought I'd stop by in here and see if any of you have any information about it or perhaps have a place where I could look information about it?

Any information works, I have no limits on what I need to know.

Thank you.

What are the greatest needs of the people there?

Two words. Flood defences. Seriously. It is the single biggest threat faced by the people of York.

Spritual also.

Probably little different from any other UK city.

What is/are a big influance in York?

Having been an important city from Roman times, York has a great deal of history attatched to it. This influences the city today mainly throgh tourism, especially with foreign tourists.

How is the youth of York descriped?

A lot of students, the city having a very good univeristy.

How would you descripe York?

I like the place. Very good transport links, excellent shops, history, culture, York has the lot. A city with a soul.

What is the area with the most needs?

Apart from the areas most at risk of flooding I couldn't really say

Anything else you would say about York?

Read this in my caravan magazine recently. A couple from America had written in after returning home from a holiday in England. Of York they said they had greatly enjoyed it but had been very confused because all the streets are called gates, all the gates are called bars and all the bars are called pubs:D

Anyway, hope that helps a little
