She wasn't cast out, she (as the incumbent) lost to her primary opponent. It's not 'silencing dissent' when a majority of voters picks someone they like better.

But no doubt she'll be welcome in the party of airing grievances.

Third Party all the way, guys. Woo, yeah. There are some Republicans who are leaving for the 3rd party as well. For instance, Democrat Andrew Yang and Republican Christine Todd Whitman left their respective parties during the early 2020s to form a new 3rd party:

I have not watched the Simpsons that much, except for a few episodes. Yes, I have a very upbeat personality, confidence in the Lord and just a sense of humor that has been in all my life.

Just watched a compilation of Disco Stu a few seconds ago after reading this, and he reminds me of me, but he has 10x more enthusiasm.

Whew, glad I have adblocker. 20 ads just after clicking on the link. The article did not touch much on what her opinion is about current GOP leadership, but I do hope that Shawn Thierry supports GOP members such as Mitt Romney, but he left politics in 2023, and will retire entirely next year.

She lost. She left. And I'm sure some former colleagues told her to be careful the door didn't hit her on the way out.

You might recognise that someone declaring that a candidate is a threat to democracy and someone else throwing a hissy fit because she doesn't share the values of the party she was meant to be representing are...not the same.

That's how they all work in China...sure.

The complaints seem to be authoritarianism and ideological conformity... and the Democratic Party used to present itself as the party of many views and the party of science, personal freedom, working class, etc. The "big tent" because of the variety of beliefs.

I can tell that she is a right winger, but I can not tell if she supports MAGA or not. Hopefully, she does not support MAGA. Now, as a centrist, I do not have a problem with right wing folks, as they have some good stuff to say, but if she supported Trump, then I would have a problem. So glad I am not registered to any party, cos both have gone off the deep end.

Candidate claims she's leaving party due to ideological conformity and lack of debate creating a sort of authoritarian group think.

And you say "here's one issue she doesn't agree with the party on....she's clearly a "right winger".

I guess if she's wrong, we'll have a bunch of people on the left who debate in posts whether or not these are valid criticisms.

If she's correct....they'll attack her and her motives for leaving the party and point to positions she's taken to prove she doesn't belong lol.

So far, every post here just validates her claims.

She thought it was possible to disagree on certain issues without betraying values.

What she didn't realize is that there are no values in the current Democratic Party. There's no "we always stand for x".

It's very much a "today we say this, tomorrow we may say the exact opposite, it doesn't matter what you think so we don't need to debate, obey and do as we say if you want to avoid any trouble".
