Or you can stay in the NT and see what Jesus (who is also GOD) did on the sabbath. We see what was required for that time when God was with them upon the mountain. That is not to say that every sabbath thereafter they had to stay in their tents.

Hebrews 8:11
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

I think we are in a generation where the words would read

"for all shall no me"

Is there really a denomination that has put out a bible that has changed the WORD from "WAX OLD" to obsolete?

Hebrews 8:10-13

[12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. [13] In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

I keep hearing the sabbath was given to the house of Israel, therefore the gentiles need not keep it. Who was the covenant of Hebrews 8 given to?

For all shall know me. You must live in a real nice town should you believe that everyone from the least to the greatest know the Lord.

Hebrews was written after the crucified Christ. Does this scripture say the 1st is now done away with? No...it says its a gettin old (like me) and is getting ready to vanish.

We are not the household of Isreal. We are the body of Christ. What was given to the household of Isreal is not for the New body of Christ. For the law was given for the lawless and set against the house of Isreal. The law is still there for that purpose. For the lawless and still against people. This is why we come into the NC and that is the blood of Jesus and being His temple.. We have been made new. Cannot put old wine into new wineskins..

Out with the Old........In with New I always say

Luke 5:37 "And no one is casting young wine into OLD vessels, if yet no surely shall be ruined the wine, the young of the vessels and it shall be being poured-out and its vessel shall be perishing/apolountai <622> .
38 but young/neon <3501> wine into NEW/kainouV <2537> vessels is to be cast and both are preserved together.
39 and no one driking old immediately is willing young, for he is saying, 'for the the old kind/gracious is'".

Hebrews 8:13 in the to be saying 'New' He hath made old the first. The yet being aged and being obsolete nigh of disappearance/a-fanismou <854>

Reve 19:3 And a second-time they have declared "allelouia and the Smoke of Her is ascending into the Ages of the Ages".

Right where scripture takes us.. A new covenant. Not of the old but brand new. He is making this new covenant with the house of Isreal and Judah and also with the gentiles. All brand new through the Law giver and not the law. We are not the household of Isreal though. We are the body of Christ to which the Household of Isreal and Judah must come into in order to be the chosen People of God. For now instead of being the household of Isreal and Judah it is the Body of Christ.

Excellent point, but what about after you come to Christ as your Lord and Saviour? Do we just ignore his rules?

Once you get a job in your profession, are you allowed to go and do whatever you want?

It is not a question of keeping them perfectly, because that has already been answered by scripture, no one is righteous. We know where our righteousness comes from. But that does not and should stop us from obedience to the best of our ability, and prayerfully seeking to do His Will via His Holy Spirit.
