When one of my children asks me to take them there.

Does your religion have the condition of your formal agreement to the Nicene Creed for you to be considered a Christian? (I'm only asking this because this site is going back to that, but every church I've ever attended didn't. )

We say it at Church during baptisms...but we take it like the Bible...some take it literally, some dont...we interpret it to how we see it...that said I wont go anymore into it...Yes I abide by it...end of story...LOL:)

I don't pass judgement on people who work on Sundays. People have to do what people have to do. But, our family decided last week that we would try not to do any servile work on Sundays in keeping with the Bible's admonishment that we need a day of rest. I don't know if we'll be as adherant as some. But, it's our goal.

Do you do any servile work on Sundays?

Do you mind my asking what religion/denomination you are? I assure you, I am just trying to make sense of this. You see, I was dedicated, saved and baptised in the Assembly of God church ( Pentecostal Christian) , went on to Grace Community (Non-denominational Christian), then changed to Independent Fundamental Baptist (Fundamentalist Biblical Christian) and am now Wesleyan (also Christian) and none of these denominations ever used this creed. And yet all are Christian denominations. I know my salvation is real, because it's Biblical. I can show anyone who asks the passages that prove this. I had never heard of this creed until I joined this site. And I just think it's really odd that I come from a Pastoral ministry family and we don't use this creed.

You don't have to answer me if it's uncomfortable for you. I know you're not one to stick your neck out. I'm just trying to make sense of this, for my own sake.

I don't have a slow cooker. :) I've often thought of getting one. But, there are too many to choose from and I'm not comfortable with trying new things in the kitchen...especially when it means buying something that may prove to be something I don't like, that isn't exactly inexpensive.

Thank you for the link. I read it.
