Better? I'm not sure. But as I've said - it did enable me to focus more on things other than girls or finding a girlfriend or whatever. Not better - different.



No. It's just not part of our culture to do it so I don't think it'd be possible. I'm not sure if I want to. I mean, it did work out WONDERFUL for me, but I know other people that it didn't work out too well for. I consider myself very fortunate.....very blessed.



Oh yeah. There is no doubt in my mind that God hand picked this woman for me. I mean, only God truely knows my wants, desires, and needs. He gave them to me.



At first I didn't think about her that much. I was seriously focused on football and school. I was very involved in church & other activites, thanks to mom & dad. When I knew the time was getting close it was all I could think about! I was a nervous wreck!

Thank you so much for being willing to discuss such a personal part of your life. When I read where you came from and how you arrived here it had a ring of God's providence to it.

You ain't kiddin'! My dad hasn't returned, and never will, to Pakistan. See, when he crosses the boarder into Pakistan and is checked by boarder authorities, they will immediatly look him up and know he is a Christian. His life is immediatly in danger. Mom doesn't want to go back for obvious reasons.

Wow, what an amazing story! Or should I say testimony?

I'm trying to wrap my American mind around the concept of knowing about your own AM since the age of 12. That means you wouldn't have read the books "finding the love of your life" or "choosing God's best." You never laid awake at night wondering "is that girl I met today the one for me?" Wow. It just blows me away.

Did your wife find out about the AM when she was 12 also? Did she date? Was she angry that her parents had agreed to the AM before she was born? Did your wife go to college (I toss that one in there because of the "women and university" thread that is in this forum).

Thank you for sharing your story...wow...it would make a fantastic book!!!!
