In this thread I'd like to present evidence and speculate that the return of Jesus Christ will take place on Dec. 26, 27, or 28 of 2038.

First, I believe that the return of Jesus Christ must take place at the end of December because of the following verse:

"9And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. 11And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them." Rev. 11:9-11

There is a holiday where everyone rejoices, makes merry, and sends gifts one to another - and that holiday is Christmas. I believe that the death of the two witnesses is coinciding with a Christmas celebration, and the inhabitants of the earth are extra-happy on that day because the two witnesses are dead.

Since Jesus Christ returns very quickly after the resurrection of the two witnesses (which takes place 3.5 days later), Christ must return at the end of December of some unknown year. However, there is obviously no way to calculate this year unless there is some other type of evidence to go off of.

Here we must make an assumption. I think that it is reasonable to assume that the sign of Christ's first coming will also be the sign of Christ's Second Coming. In other words, the 'star in the east' that the wise men saw, which symbolized Christ's first coming, will also appear and symbolize the second coming.

I think it is certainly reasonable to think that God will put some sort of sign in the heavens for Christ's return. The question, then, is what was the sign of Christ's first coming?

I believe that the sign of Christ's first coming was the conjunction of Jupiter/Regulus in the constellation Leo the Lion. Jupiter is the king planet, Regulus is the king star, and Leo is not only the king of the Zodiac but also the sign of Jesus Christ (the Lion of the tribe of Judah, etc.). This, then, would be the sign that the wise men saw in the east.

This exact thing happened on Sep. 11, 3 BC. Incidentally, Sep. 11, 3 BC marks the beginning of the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah. Also, the sign in Revelation 12 of the woman clothed with the sun with the moon under her feet also occurred on this exact day. A few links that deal with these issues are: BIRTH OF CHRIST RECALCULATED

When Was Jesus Christ Born? The Bible Says September 11, 3BC-The Day of the Feast of Trumpets « The Goodness Of God Ministries

Therefore I think that the sign of Christ's first coming was the conjunction of Jupiter/Regulus in Leo, which occurred on Sep. 11, 3 BC.

Knowing that Christ returns at the end of December, and assuming that the same sign will be repeated as a sign of the Second Coming, one would look for a conjunction of Jupiter/Regulus at the end of December of some year. In fact, in the year 2038 there is such a conjunction:

dec 26.jpg

You can click on the picture to make it larger. Also please note a red box is around Leo and you can see Jupiter and Regulus in conjunction. This is using Skychart III Demo and is viewed from Jerusalem on the night of December 26, 2038 AD.

Interestingly, the conjunction in 2038 actually begins around November 11 and lasts (in fits and starts) all the way to January, which is rather rare. I think that this may be emphasizing the imminence of the return of Christ. Here's a picture from November 11:

nov 10.jpg

2038 is a couple of decades away, which gives enough time for the events in the book of Revelation to come to pass. Obviously, this is just speculation, and if the year 2036 rolls around and nothing has happened we'll know Christ's return is not in 2038 (since 2036 would be in the tribulation). However, I think it is educated speculation and may indeed be the very time that Jesus Christ returns.

One final note - there are some who say that the 'stars fall from heaven' and therefore there can be no Zodiac studies. However, the stars fall at (or just prior to) the return of Jesus Christ (see Mt. 24:29, Isa. 34, Joel 3, Rev. 6, etc.). Therefore, there can still be a 'sign' in the heavens revealing Christ's return.

Isaac Newton predicted 2060 AD... Interestingly enough Charlemagne was crowned Emperor Augustus December 25, 800 AD. So this is probably also marks the Christmas date. If, according to Isaac Newtons calculation, a times, times, and a half equals 1,260 years than the coming of Christ will be 2060 AD. I don't believe any prediction is 100% accurate, but this seems to be the closest. I believe that Charlemagne was emperor of the first Reich, or the first European emperor. Which would be followed by Napoleon, Hitler, and the Anti-Christ will make up the final and fourth Reich.

I have read Newton's comments on the book of Revelation and do not agree with them. It seems he holds to a metaphorical interpretation of the entire book. However, from a comparison with Christ's remarks in Luke 21, etc., as well as just studying Revelation, it is evident that the plagues are mostly literal.

I think you're close on the year (I believe 2036) but I disagree with the day. Christ's return is 31/2 years not days after the two witnesses. I also think Christ will return on Rosh hashanah.

That's an interesting thought.

Why do you think it's 2036? If Rosh Hashanah, it would be in September of 2036. Also, why do you believe it's 3.5 years instead of days? In order for the two witnesses to be resurrected, it would have to be 3.5 days instead of years since their dead bodies would obviously have decayed away.

I think it's 2036 because I looked at a chronology of the Bible that a pastor has put together and what he's said makes a lot of sense. He's stated that God's calendar is actually the calendar that He gave to the Jews. They were to work the land for 6 years and on the 7th year the land was to rest. They were to do this for 7 groups or weeks of years and on the 50th year they were to have a year of Jubilee. Most chronologies count Daniels 70 weeks as 490 years, however, when you use the Jubilee calendar Daniels 70 weeks become 500 years. When you start at creation using this Jubilee calendar you find a lot of important events in Scripture occur on Jubilee years. For instance, Abraham, was born on a Jubilee year, Adam died on a Jubilee year, Isaac the child of promise was born on a Jubilee year, the Exodus was on a Jubilee year. What's more fascinating, what is a Jubilee year? It's a release from all debts, from slavery, the land returns to its original owner and such. According to the Jubilee calendar the Exodus happened in the year 2500, or the 50th Jubilee, a sort of Jubilee of Jubilees. The fiftieth fifty, and the children of Israel are freed from bondage in Egypt. There is much more, if I remember correctly the 70 years of captivity in Babylon end on the 70th Jubilee. There are a lot things that line up with Jubilees and it's too much to be coincidence. Quite a few writers from the early church wrote that there would be 6000 years under the curse until the return of Christ. God said in Gen, my Spirit will not always strive with the man, but his days will be 120 years. David said a day with the Lord is as a thousand years. Guess what, God said that on a Jubilee year, 120 Jubilees is 6000 years. There is just too much to be coincidence.

I will include a link to the website, you can read the articles and listen to the audios. I've been listening to this guy for a few years and he does his research, he doesn't just talk off the top of his head. His Answers in Revelation page is good also, as is his church page.

I was going to post some quotes from the Early Christians regarding the 6000 years, however, it is very long and for some reason when I cut and paste from MS Word all of the tags show up in the posts. So I'll provide a link to it instead.

I would just like to throw Matthew 24:36 into the mix here.

Hi Florida2

Yes, however, that passage is not translated into English very well. The Greek word "know" is "Oiden". Many English Bibles translate "Oiden" in the present tense, however, in the Greek it is a perfect tense verb. The perfect tense in Greek indicates a past action with results continuing to the present. A better translation of Jesus' words would be, no one has known the day or the hour. Also the "Oiden" comes from the Greek word "Eido" which means to see. The idea is to know by seeing or perceiving. Jesus' words could be translated, no one has perceived the day or the hour. There is nothing in Jesus words that indicate that it is impossible for people to know in the future.

In addition the apostle Paul told the Thessalonians.

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Thanks for the 120 jubilee link. Never heard of this guy but I like what I've read so far!

Hi Michelle,

I like this guy, He's logical and tells you how he came to his conclusions so you can decide for yourself.

Sorry, that's goobledeegook. What does the verse actually mean? How come it's always been translated incorrectly?
