God has brought us out of the world’s “weak and beggarly elements” ….the world’s founding principles as written in their codified laws and commandments. He has brought us forth from “Egypt”…the world.
Elements = Greek word: "stoicheion" - something orderly in arrangement, that is, (by implication) a serial (basal, fundamental, initial) constituent (literally), proposition (figuratively): - element, principle, rudiment.
The “elements” of the world are the world’s handwritings….their constitutions, their statutes, their documents, etc. where they codify their principles which are used to govern and judge themselves by.
They are the governing documents of the world. They are “something orderly in arrangement.”
The world’s governments do not submit to God’s authority as they do not do His commandments in the government/kingdom of God. They submit instead to man’s government, man’s authority, man’s judgment, man’s commandments etc.
The “elements” = other gods…. which are “by nature are no gods”.
Gal 4:8-10 KJV
(8) Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
(9) But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Do we really want to return to bondage by the voluntarily and humbly submitting to a church handwriting of ordinances which is fashioned like the world’s handwritings (their constitutions, etc) ?
The church handwriting of ordinances are placed in our churches to serve and worship and those who are there are being brought back into bondage.
Have you ever read a church constitution, church by-laws, etc? They are written in codified “orderly arrangements”. They are all enumerated and presented as authoritative (just like the world’s documents) so that the church can “govern” and “judge” itself according to what the church scribes command.
This should not be so as we are to be in God’s government where He is King and His commandments (which are written on our hearts) are kept and served and not the church scribes’ handwritings.
Other “gods” = other judges rather than THE Judge…the true God.
Our LORD has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt….the world that is enslaved to its man-based governments via their authoritative handwritings.
Deu 6:12-15 KJV
(12) Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
(13) Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
We are not supposed to go after “other gods” of the “gods” (judges) of the people around us.
We are not supposed to copy the world’s handwritings that they use to govern and judge themselves and place them in our worship gatherings of the true God. We are not supposed to be like the world as we are in God’s government serving His commandments and God is our only Judge.
(14) Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
The LORD our God…..the LORD our JUDGE. He is a jealous God....a jealous Judge.
(15) (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
Do not let a man judge you according to his church handwriting of ordinances (other gods….other judges). There is only One Lawgiver and One Judge….the LORD our God (Judge).

(14) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
(15) And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Fleshly-minded men have trespassed into the Scriptures and have incorporated some of the commandments of the Law into their handwritings and use them to judge themselves by.
(16) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
(17) Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
