Being born in a forest was somewhat an advantage to Yamei. Not only is she a peaceful outpost keeper for the entrance to the Forest Maze, but she also guards the secrets to her people, the scrolls that they hold dear to them. The scrolls are not of any historical significance to anyone but her people, however, treasure hunters and various people such as that would love to get their mitts on them, so that they could be sold to the highest bidder, or either end up in their collection of useless things. Yamei takes her job seriously and guards them like there's no tomorrow..however, she has other duties as well. She takes care of the tired and the weak that wander towards her outpost in the Cherry Grove, and make sure they don't wander into the Forest Maze, where no one but her people can find their way through alone. She's a guide to the outsiders through the forest and out the other side, most of the time. She loves people and also loves animals, really enjoys watching things quietly, instead of being loud and obnoxious. A quiet spirit, the young woman is a rare kind..
