Talking about his name is not blasphemy. God isn't mad at me for doing it either, because there has been major cover-ups over the centuries. I genuinely wanted to know what he meant when he said it to me, because I wasn't sure. When I had confirmation I posted the videos. People should know his name. Its a wonderful name. But in saying that, he has still spoken to me in the spirit and answered prayers when I've used the name God, as I always have used that... I'm not going to change my language to use the Hebrew name of God, but I want people to know. People should know...to say otherwise is almost like being ashamed of God.
It goes beyond that. Even writing His Name and then throwing it away. It is disrespectful, that was my point.

OK well God knows the intentions of the heart. I did not mean to be disrespectful or cause you upset. I will cease to talk of it if you wish.

During prayer, no.
Yah's people are called to pray incessantly. Being called by his name every time someone has something to communicate with you, such as "Yahushaphat, what are your plans for next week," is great way to be reminded of that.

Are you speaking of the pronunciation of YHVH or things like Adonai or Elohim?
I usually refer to YHWH by name.

Psalms 105:1 O give thanks unto YHWH; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

(CLV) Jer 23:27
who design to make My people forget My Name by their dreams which they recount, each one to his associate, just as their fathers forgot My Name for Baal?

BTW, there is no V in Ancient Hebrew.

Yahu is not His Name, it is a theophoric suffix. YaH, as I have said before, is a poetic abbreviation/contraction. W is Arabic. W/V written as Y was used in ancient Egyptian, Phonecian, Cananite and in a bit later in Hebrew. In Babylon, Aramaic square script was adopted which is found in the DSS.

Give thanks to the Lord (YHVH), call out in His name; make His deeds known among the peoples...original Hebrew

I made his deeds known throughout this site, but often people forget how powerful God really is and just call you crazy instead... guess that's easier than accepting the truth. :sigh:

I have a question for you. What is the derivation of "Yah" in your opinion...??? Is it composed/abbreviated/contracted from the first 2 letters OR the first and last letters??? יָהּ and you have The Name יְהוָה

Sometime YHW is an expression YHWH, and sometimes not?

What a ridiculous notion.

YHW is a contraction of YHWH, suffix or prefix; it's all the same.

W is Arabic. W/V written as Y was used in ancient Egyptian, Phonecian, Cananite and in a bit later in Hebrew. In Babylon, Aramaic square script was adopted which is found in the DSS.
I don't see how the devolution of the phonetics is dependent on the devolution of the script.

In modern Hebrew the וּ‎ WAW denotes the vowel OW sound. The וֹ‎ WAW denotes the vowel UW sound. One doesn't bite his lower lip to create either of these sounds. The vowels conform to the consonant.

In English we could use W, UW, or OO, interchangeably to get the same phonetics.

Wish

UWish

OOish

We see the same situation with YAD. It can make the Y or the EY sound.

I hadn't given it any thought.

I try to look ar his word through the otiot, for deeper understanding. Each pictograph has meaning, aside from its' phonetics. Did you know that in the earlist writings that there were no spaces between the ot?

OK I thought about it. How do we get YHW, unless we start at the beginning, and carry through?

What is a ridiculous notion? Is it the same?? Why is it never used as a prefix?
