Really? Jumpin' יהושפט.Nonsensical to YOU. So show me a Hebrew name, not one you made up, that uses YaH as a theophoric PREFIX...I asked you that before...
nope...YehoshafatReally? Jumpin' יהושפט.
I've posted several otiot studies; and my YHWH's Table series is interesting. You might want to look past your preconceived notions.
Let's get back on topic now. Where is your evidence that YeH is a correct phonetic rendering of YH, in Ancient Hebrew?
This is interesting:@Pipp@ @Lulav @Yeshua HaDerekh
Here is a link to the 1906 Jewish Encyclopedia article "Names Of God" approximately 11 pages in length
This article addresses all of the questions/comments I have seen concerning the name.NAMES OF GOD - JewishEncyclopedia.com

Wrong again. That's not Ancient Hebrew; and it's nonsensical.nope...Yehoshafat
LOL! Thanks again for proving my point...Wrong again. That's not Ancient Hebrew.
Yahushaphat.
I suspected that you might not get it; so I edited the post to give you a better understanding. It looks like you already had the unedited post in queue, before I had finished editing.LOL! Thanks again for proving my point...
Hence the use of Adonai, AdoShem, Ha Shem, etc...This is interesting:
"The restriction upon communicating the Name proper probably originated in Oriental etiquette; in the East even a teacher was not called by name. For naming his master Elisha, Gehazi was punished with leprosy (II Kings viii. 5; Sanh. 100a). After the death of the high priest Simeon the Righteous, forty years prior to the destruction of the Temple, the priests ceased to pronounce the Name (Yoma39b). From that time the pronunciation of the Name was prohibited. "Whoever pronounces the Name forfeits his portion in the future world" (Sanh. xi. 1). Hananiah ben Ṭeradion was punished for teaching his disciples the pronunciation of the Name ('Ab. Zarah 17b). It appears that a majority of the priests in the last days of the Temple were unworthy to pronounce the Name, and a combination of the letters or of the equivalents of the letters constituting the Name was employed by the priests in the Temple. Thus the Twelve-Lettered Name was substituted, which, a baraita says, was at first taught to every priest; but with the increase of the number of licentious priests the Name was revealed only to the pious ones, who "swallowed" its pronunciation while the other priests were chanting. Another combination, the Forty-two-Lettered Name, Rab says, was taught only to whomever was known to be of good character and disposition, temperate, and in the prime of life (Ḳid. 71a; comp. Rashi to 'Ab. Zarah 17b). Maimonides, in his "Moreh," thinks that these names were perhaps composed of several other divine names."

Yahushaphat.
Yahu - Yah
Shaphat - to judge
Yah to judge.
I hope this helps.
It really just sounds to me like there were those policing the name to stop people from speaking it, and eventually knowing the accurate pronunciation perhaps...?Hence the use of Adonai, AdoShem, Ha Shem, etc...
I can understand why one might feel that way; if one has been taking lessons from the guys who have done their best to blot out his kadosh name.I did not "get" it because it is linguistically incorrect Hebrew...
Under penalty of death to my understanding. It really just sounds to me like there were those policing the name to stop people from speaking it
Taking lessons LOL! It is the exact opposite, but of course you would not know that...I can understand why one might feel that way; if one has been taking lessons from the guys who have done their best to blot out his kadosh name.
And it's interesting they did that because throughout scripture we are told to call on the name of the Lord. Why would the bible say such things if God changed his mind? It makes no sense!Under penalty of death to my understanding.

I believe that the imposters, who threw the rightful Priesthood out of the Temple, worshiped a different god. I've been digging into a study on this subject; but I have a long way to go to prove it all out.And it's interesting they did that because throughout scripture we are told to call on the name of the Lord. Talking about his name is not blasphemy. God isn't mad at me for doing it either, because there has been major cover-ups over the centuries. I genuinely wanted to know what he meant when he said it to me, because I wasn't sure. When I had confirmation I posted the videos. People should know his name. Its a wonderful name. But in saying that, he has still spoken to me in the spirit and answered prayers when I've used the name God, as I always have used that... I'm not going to change my language to use the Hebrew name of God, but I want people to know. People should know...to say otherwise is almost like being ashamed of God.It was because of the very thing we are seeing in this thread. The Name is so Holy that it should NOT be used unnecessarily ever. That is why I dislike having these type of debates. Just as there were protections around commandments/laws, same with The Name. You should not take or use The Name in vain. Matthew 5:34-37 comes to mind...
I don't believe that the bountiful variety of Theophoric names that are throughout Yah's word, spoken numerous times throughout the lives of the people to whom they were given, were being used unnecessarily. The Name is so Holy that it should NOT be used unnecessarily ever.
During prayer, no. Are you speaking of the pronunciation of YHVH or things like Adonai or Elohim?I don't believe that the bountiful variety of Theophoric names that are throughout Yah's word, spoken numerous times throughout the lives of the people to whom they were given, were being used unnecessarily.
