Why everybody said Xbox is the best?
Xbox only won on its graphic

Sound. Speed. Features (i.e. personal tracks). A hard drive. Power. And of course, Xbox Live.

And if you must judge a console by its games, then Xbox would also win. But that's more of an opinon act as I like FPSs more than most other games.

I have both a PS2 and XBox... if ever given the choice I will ALWAYS choose the XBox version of games (love the controller and pristine graphics). But I bought the PS2 because many of the games I wanted to play were not released for XBox (mainly GTA series which has now made the transition to XBox). I find the memory card to be an issue with the PS2, as well (plus l..o...n..g load times with some of the bigger games). Of course, I just found out my Xbox power cord could burn down my entertainment system (a definite negative)... but I'm still on the side of the green machine. How else does one get their HALO fix?

Cardboard boxes, pellet guns, some understanding friends and a good imagination and insurance plan.

I've been somewhat satisfied with my xbox. It has some good games but with no good coop RPGs, Live is useless to me except for maybe downloaded content. I'm hopeful that the next gen consoles will have something better.

But if you like deathmatch wargames, Live is the way to go.
