Have you ever tried to run an SNES emulator on a DC? Yuck. It's no good. The frame-rate just dies.Qyöt27 said:I think it's interesting in the area of XBox emulation (i.e. running non-XBox games - SNES, Atari, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, etc. - on the XBox). The XBox's processing speed alone gives it an advantage over Dreamcast emulation, which is currently the easiest since you don't have to mod them (at least, the first batch you didn't; I was lucky - I got an original). That would be my only reason, seeing as how I'm not too big on many XBox titles, and I'd rather as soon buy them instead of going to the hassle of pirating just to save money...it's not worth it.
Yes I have actually. DreamSNES 0.9.8, to be exact. Even though it's from 2002, it does a semi-decent job of it (at least for the games I was using it with anyway - it had a bit of a problem with rendering Super Metroid, but Mega Man 7 and Rockman and Forte didn't lag all that much, IIRC).Breetai said:Have you ever tried to run an SNES emulator on a DC? Both the PS2 and the X-Box do an excellent job of it though.
