Today we get to have email, and I heard voice mail options on xboxlive. Plus they are putting in clan options too. These things will bring struggling teams together, as well as friends, in a much more effective way.

I'm really surprised it wasn't there already there. xband (snes) already had it when it came out, and that was 10 years ago.Dreamcast had free internet, that came with it.

But now that it has it, Xbox has cornered the market on the cleanest, fairest, and the most fun, playing online.
Everyone has voice(some you wish they didn't)
Everyone uses the same controller.
Everyone plays by the same rules. There are ways of cheating, but they are easily discovered, and dealt with.

The only and biggest flaw, is the lack of games, but they are coming.

It seems it creapt up on me:

Xbox Live will be unavailable for approximately 24 hours to upgrade the service and add new features starting at 6:01 am PDT on Wednesday 04/21/2004.

It is important to understand that this is the first step as we lay the foundation for the exciting features that are included in this upgrade. It’s also important to note that not all features will be available after the upgrade, and most will not be visible until game developers decide to implement specific features into their titles. Additionally, the MSN messenger integration that you have read about is not included in this release, and will be coming after this upgrade. I don’t know the date yet, as there is still messenger work that needs to be done once we get this first step of the upgrade live.

Halo.... 2... Must... have....

Oh btw, don't bother getting Unreal II: The Awakening unless you play Xbox live a lot or perfer single player games. There is no normal multiplayer and the co-op mode is rather... slow. Unless of course the monsters are just as choppy in one player mode...

Thanks Xbox fans! Your support helps it to keep getting better. And along with that comes competition. If Xbox wasn't doing to well, then Sony could just put out junk, but it can't. Sony has to keep getting better to compete with Microsoft, and therefore pushes the envelope. As a Ps2-er, I say thanks. (You won't hear that too often coming from Playstationeers.)

Halo2: YES YES YES

Unreal: I weep as I am yet to see a good port to ANY consol of ANY of the Unreal/Unreal Tournament Series :(

I was sad enough to write a letter of complaint to Epic when Unreal Tournament first hit the PS2 and had NO link up and was slow and rubbish.

UnrealT series ROCK on PC, and that is where they belong. I see no gain in doing bad ports :( (I am sure they see financial gain though)
