  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I heard there was a scene that played after the credits. I saw where Magneto was only able to move a single chess piece but I take it that this isn't it. Can someone tell me what that was? I don't feel like paying another 7 dollars or waiting for the DVD.

Spoiler Alert!

I missed seeing it, but apparently the 'uninhabited' body that Prof. X was talking about during a class wakes up and looks over at Moira McTaggert and says "Moira" in Xavier's voice

In the comics, Phoenix was a cosmic entity that joined with Jean Grey. It basically brought destruction in order to reform everything. Jean by herself was never near as powerful as X3 made her out to be.

That can still happen. As far as I can tell, nothing is off the board escept Cyclops.

Ah, it's comics ... anything can happen. And remember the number one rule of comics: If you don't see a body, don't believe they are dead for good. And even then, don't bet the ranch.

One of the things I felt in X3 regarding certain characters was that you could get a feel for those actors who were ready to leave X-men behind. Cyclops, Rogue and others just seemed to really fade into the background and had things happen to make it plausible for them to not show up in any potential sequels.

Ok, I totally didn't understand what you wrote under the spoiler tag.... First off, I have no clue who MM is.... Has anyone actually seen it?

Jean's power was why I was ambivalent about her new persona. She had WAY too much power. It reached the point of unbelievability.... (Of course, anybody with the ability to manipulate objects with their mind is a bit of a stretch but you get my meaning...)

Ok, Moira in the comics is Xavier's former lover/colleague and appears to at least fall into the colleague category in X3. You see her talking on the computer screen when Xavier is teaching a class about ethics and there is a body on the table next to her that is a mutant with no 'soul', to put it as simply as possible. Xavier discusses the ethics of whether it would be appropriate for a sufficiently powerful telepath to 'inhabit' that vacant yet living body.

As for Jean, taking it from the comics once she became joined with the Pheonix force she was incredibly powerful ... far beyond what she is capable of even in the movie. A big part of the storyline when she becomes the Dark Pheonix is that she destroyed an entire inhabited world.

The movie takes it a different direction to avoid all the comic cosmic stuff and just says that she was always this powerful but Xavier suppressed it so she could stay stable.

The whole Phoenix thing bothered me because of the age we live in where people are pushing the idea that you can become your own god and Phoenix seems to embody that concept. Maybe that's just fear talking... I don't know...

x4? I thought it was supposed to be a trilogy?

It is, of sorts

Meaning the last stand title was given because it would be the last stand that 'these' characters take on as such, as a full group (as you know because of the deaths)

However (they are transcipts on the net) where as the creator and other people involved talk about def making more ... especially if this one did well in the box office.

Amazing movie. :) And one of the best Friday openings in movie history too!

It's been confirmed...we not only get a Wolverine spinoff...but X4 (possibly a new trilogy)

Also...don't bet on Scott being dead. :)

There is also confirmed an Extended edition X-3 dvd coming out.

The villain in X-4 is likely to be Apocalypse. (fans demand it!)

Can we demand that Gambit be actually put in the next one if there is one? I liked all the movies, but I'm so disappointed every time I see him not in them. Although Beast was pretty cool.

*possible spoilers*

i've seen it 3 times, and it just keeps getting better and better.

the first two were good, but this one was amazing. wolverine really held the movie together and i felt that they developed his character along so much better which made me immensely happy.

however...

i did NOT like kitty pryde. she was so young and i dont think that she had any place going into battle. also, its sickening listening to these older men drool over her when she only looks to be in her early teens (i know she's about 20, but she looks so young in the movie).

also, colossus wasnt shown enough.

i was happy about rogue at the end! haha i never really liked her anyway.

the whole thing between iceman and kitty was kinda creepy. now, i know in real life she's older, but she looked so young here that i was slightly disturbed.

i loved the beast. he was definitely my favorite new character. kelsey grammar was an excellent choice.

the end was crazy. i cant wait for the magneto movie, or the wolverine movie!!!
