Kelsey Grammar is certainly is an unconventional choice for Beast. I'm trying to imagine a blue furry 350lb Fraiser!

But Grammer has the perfect voice and demeanor and looks fantastic as beast as you can see from the trailer.

Aye he could turn out to be an inspired choice. I just wouldn't have even thought about him for the role, partly because he hasn't done that much film work.

This isn't the last movie. It's the last movie with the CURRENT director. But there are already plans for 3 more movies. (and maybe more even) The actor who plays Juggernaught is set for 3 more AFTER this film.

I'm more of a Spiderman fan, but I'd put X-Men as second on the list...Them and Batman. Good stuff.

I'm really excited to see the third installment of the X-Men films. Because the story is so character heavy from its creation in the comic book world, I was very pleased to see that movies carried that feeling as well. Like others have said, people have really become attached to the characters from the X-Men movies. I think in a way that's a big sign of a good movie and good acting.

I'm really bummed that Nightcrawler isnt in the third one. I was really looking forward to seeing how his character expanded, and he was very different from the other X-Men characters. I'm very excited to see the character of Angel onscreen, mostly because I feel I know little about him compared to other characters.

Two mini-gripes I have...in the trailer I didn't see Beast wearing his trademark glasses, which bummed me out. Also, why is Wolverine so cool?? I've never really thought much of him, yet he's so popluar and seems to be the dominating character, in the movies especially. Myabe I've missed something about him, but there's definitely other X-Men characters that I think are much cooler/better than Wolverine in many respects...but he is a good character. My own opinion though. :p

among comic readers i'd say that males still dominate the demographics (demographic novels? ha!) and among the males Wolverine's character has held a high spot for as many years as i recall the character being around. he's just that tough guy type with the honorable streak that calls to most men's baser instincts.

Oh, nothing against Hugh Jackman at all. I agree that he is a good actor and after seeing the first X-Men movie I hoped very much that he wouldn't be typecast and would be able to show off more of his abilities.

I like what you said, Fineous_Reese, about Wolverine being a tough guy with an honorable streak and how that touches guys on a base level. I actually hadnt thought of that before. I always saw it like Legolas from LOTR..."oh my goodness! he's so hot and so cool and oh wow!" But when asked why one liked the character, it was the same reply. Comes from being female and hanging out with females I guess. :p

Yep I'm totally psyched for X3 it's going to be awesome. Though I'm still bummed about the fact the Bryan Singer isn't going to be directing it.

First, I must say, awesome avatar and signature! Gotta love Alias.

Now, I too was sad to see Singer not directing this flick. I'm a huge X-Men fan and have followed the production since they got the writers a little over a year ago. I was worried that without Singer, we were going to get a Batman and Robin style film. Fortunately, they picked a director who is not trying to change the tone Singer set in the previous films but is keeping to that tone and also expanding on it. While Singer is a fantastic director I always felt he wasn't strong on the action front, this looks to be changed with Ratner as he has had experience in the action field while still able to pull emotional performances from the actors. What I find reassuring are the little references from the comics in this film, i.e. the Fastball Special and other fight sequences. All in all, the latest trailer shows this could possibly be the most action packed, yet most emotional film of the franchise.

Actually, it may not be the last movie with the "CURRENT" director. If there is an X4, I am sure they will sign Brett Ratner to direct again and he is up for it according to most of his interviews. Basically this is the last film of this current trilogy, or story arc. There will most likely be an X4 if X3 does well, but I am sure the line up will change which is a good thing to let other character's shine. I can see certain character's staying, i.e. Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Rogue, Iceman, Jean Grey (depending on what happens to her in X3) and maybe Storm. Wolverine on the other hand will have his own films so I think they will replace his character with someone similar such as Gambit.

Agreed! I'd love to see Gambit take a bigger role! Which is probably what WILL happen..he was cut out of X3 because his part would have been too small.

Villain wise...I'd love to see Apocalypse be the next villain for the next trilogy. :) And a must...we HAVE to have Colossus take on a major role!! :)

There was an article (seemed a little short) in Entertainment Weekly this past week. I browsed through it and it had some good stuff in it.

In a way it doesn't sound like what I thought they'd do for the last movie in the trilogy, but at the same time I'm very excited to see this one.

And I'm still upset that Nightcrawler isn't in it. :( :p
