(NOTE:This rpg is kind of like the X-men, only there is no professor charls Xavier or his school for the mutants. Anyone with mutant powers are shipped to the MTC (Mutant Training Camp) that is controlled by the government.)
Lief B. Green ( http://www.christianforums.com/showthread.php?p=834021#post834021post834021) sat staring at his books. He had to get his homework done. but he coudnt consintrate nabout anything other than his powers. He had a brakethrough today. He had been able to make a tree lower all of it's branches. He was happy. He didnt know what would come next in his powers. But he knew that he had to get them done, or their teacher, Mrs. Cloke would make him and any others who didnt finish spend the night in the "bad choices" pit. That had happened to him once, he couldnt let it happen to him again. So he started t waok on his homework. He was determined to be done by class time tomorrow morning.

Angel (check her out) stood in her new room trying hard to fight the tears that would no doubt come in time. She took a deep breath as she sat on her bed. She gazed around the room, seeing the tv, the dresser, a painting sized mirror, and the large sliding door that led out onto the balcony. The only bathroom was a community one that she shared with every one else on the floor. It had only a medicine cabinet, a sink, a toilet, and a bath/shower.
"This should be fun." She thought, anticipating the early morning fight for the bathroom. There were 4 other rooms on the floor. 2 were owned by guys and 2 were owned by girls .
"Let's see," she said to herself as she pulled Diamond from his carrier, " school starts at 8:30 soooo 4 should be early enough to beat everyone to the bathroom. I guess breakfast is downstairs and from there... I don't know what to expect. But it's 12 now so I should get some shut-eye."
Her suitcases had yet to be unpacked but she decided to get ready for bed anyways. She headed down the hall to the bathroom to brush her teeth...

Lief lifted his grogy head from his books. He must of fallen asleep. He looked at his note book. All he needed to do was add one more sentance, then he would be done. He quickly added it, then shut the book. He looked at his watch, 15 after 12 it read. I should shower now, then go to bed he thought. He grabbed a towel from his cabinet and took off his clothes, rapping a towel around his waist. He walked to the shower, and saw that a young women was brushing her teath. "Sorry." he said blushing, remembering that he only had a towel on.

Angel let out a little giggle towards her intruder.
"Hang on just a sec, I'm almost done." She said with her mouth full of toothpaste.
The young man stepped out for a moment. Angel spit and cupped her hands under the faucet to get some water to rinse her mouth out. After she had done so she stepped out and turned to the guy waiting.
"All done." She said with a slight smile and turned to walk away.

Lief entered the bathroom and took a really nice, hot, shower. After he was done he dried off and dropped into his bed. He had trouble sleeping. He was wondering who that girl was, and what he powers were. She was new, he could tell. He was pretty new himself though, he had only been here two months. Lief dosed off, and woke up in the morning.

Angel awoke from her sleep at 4. She felt like she had just gone to bed. Oh wait she did. She had had trouble sleeping the night before being in a new place and all. She looked at her things on the floor, still in suitcases and let out a little sigh. She unpacked a set of clothes and grabbed a towel and headed down to the bathroom once more. She was hoping there would be someone there to ask about their schedule but no one was there so she just went ahead with her shower and her prepping and headed back to her room to unpack some new things. She really hoped she would bump into someone who could give her some insight on her classes and the schedule but she was content to keep herself busy until class started.

Lief awoke slowly, looking around. he felt tired, he still wanted to be in bead. He slowly got out of bead, and pulled on a pair of blue jeans and a white T-shirt. He looked at his clock. He had five minuets before breakfast. slowly he started down the hall and stood in front of a door. He wanted to introduce himself to the new girl, so he knocked on the door.

Angel was startled by the knock on her door. She ran to the door. Maybe someone had dropped by to inform her about what she was supposed to do.
She opended the door. It was the guy from the bathroom.
"oh, Hi!" She said with a big, beaming smile. "Um, whatcha need?"
She was a little set back by the situation, she didn't really know what to say...

"Well, I just wanted to properly introduce myself. My name is Lief B. Green. What's yours?" He asked.
"Oh, My name is Angel." She said.
There was an akward moment, then Lief spoke, "Well, I need to get going to breakfast. Do you know where that is?"

"Um, sure." He said. "Breakfest is at eight everymorning, exept on sunday, where it's at nine. Our first class is History, at 8:30, which lasts an hour and a half. Then we have Math at 10:00 and science at 11:30. Lunch is at one. At 2:00 is our training sessions, and sometimes we'll have special classes after that, but we dont have any today. If you'll follow me, I'll show you where breakfast is." Lief said as he turned around and walked away.

Angel quickly turned and grabbed her bag of books and essentials and ran a little ways to catch up with him. She followed him to the cafeteria where she felt like a drop in the ocean among all the other students. None of them she knew and she was overwhelmed by nervousness as she froze in the doorway. She looked around and took in the environment as she stood with her feet frozen to the floor.
"Ugh, I guess today's just gonna have to be a little awkward." She thought, scratching her head and shrugging.

(ooc: I'm sorry, but I don't know where the ooc thread is. :help: If someone would tell me, I can erase this part of the post.)

On a rough, winding road in the Black Hills, a white van with government plates and the letters MTC printed on the side made it's way through the overcast night. There were two passengers, which made the trip that much more depressing. One was a middle-aged, suited man trying desperately to talk to a teenaged girl huddled in the farthest corner.

Myra Louise VanHelsing was terrifying, dressed in loose black jeans with safety pins where they weren't needed, a tight red tank with black widows printed up the left side and a tight mesh black sweater over it, combat boot, and an ornate sterling silver three-inch rose cross pendant. The girl had too much eyeliner on, a contrast to her soft, baby-blue eyes, and blood red lips over a colorless, sun-starved face. She held her knees in front of her stony face, hugging a shoulder laptop case and tried to ignore the suited man.

"I think you'll like it at the MTC," he said for the seventh time. "There'll be a good computer lab, lots of kids like yourself, and the teachers are the finest in the country." Myra laughed, unimpressed. She had a start of a good life on her own, despite the fact that she couldn't get an apartment as a minor, and had to live in a homeless shelter. Her abilities with computers had granted her a living as a programmer, under the name "Virus," and she had hacked herself a savings account that was getting rather well stocked. If she hadn't walked in front of that station wagon, the hospital would never have recognized her as a mutant and she would not be here, with a social worker spouting a PR campaign at her. Oh well, all she had to do now was break out of this camp and disappear again.

The van pulled up to a door in the mountainside and Myra's heart sank. The MTC was underground, with few opportunities for escape. The man indicated the door. "Welcome home, Myra." For the first time in a year, the girl felt hope dissipate. She numbly followed the man out of the van, letting him carry her trunk, and shed a single crushed tear as the door to freedom clanged shut behind her.

Lief had gotten his food and was sat down at a table with four others. He was just about to take a bite of his toast when The boy on his left, Phaze, spoke.
"Who's that?" He asked, pointing to the girl in doorway.
"Oh, thats Angel, a new girl" Lief responded.
"Angel!" He yelled across the room, "Are ya gonna get some food?"

Angel snapped from her amazement.
"Uh, yeah." She said in a half-scream-half-conversational tone.
She went and grabbed a slice of pizza, pulled her money from her pocket, and was about to go sit down but was interuppted by a man in a suit .
"Come with me, Elizabeth." He said grabbing her arm.
From the tone in his voice it had to be some kind of serious business and nobody had called her by her real name since she was told she was a mutant. Even her own father had called her Angel.
She was led down a dim hallway into an office. The man sat down behind a desk in front of her and placed his hands together in front of him in a prayerful manner.
"I'm afraid I have some bad news for you Elizabeth." He began. "I don't really know how to tell you this so I'm just going to come out and say it... Your father was found dead in his apartment complex. Appearently there was some sort of incident outside with a neighbor of his where she was being harrassed by a 'dark man in a cloak' ,as an eye witness described it. Anyways, he got involved and tried to help her but was shot with some sort of 'fire ball.'" The man stopped to read Angel's face. She sat silently and still in front of him. Tears began to flood down her cheeks but still she made no sound.
"I'm sorry to be the bearer of such horrific news. You are excused from your days' classes. I have already informed your teachers." He continued but then got up and left the room without another word.
Angel looked down and her hands and weeped unceasingly. Her food was still on the desk when she left but she didn't care too much about that. She made her way up to her dorm room leaving a trail of tears behind her but never making a sound. When she arrived in her room she pulled Diamond close to her chest and mourned.
"Who could do such a thing??? He was the only thing I had left..."

Tha man led Myra down a dark hall, seemingly for hours, but the girl didn't notice. She was too depressed to care. She vaguely remembered another man passing them, but couldn't have been sure. Finally, she was shown an open door. Inside, a younger girl sat crying, hugging a cattish thing as if it were the only thing between her and death. The younger girl looked up, startled by the terrifying Myra. The suited man spoke heartlessly, never noticing the tears.

"Myra, this is your roommate, Elizabeth. Elizabeth, Myra." He unceremoniously dropped her suitcase. "Your first class is at eight-thirty. History. There's a map in the drawer." He left, then, leaving Myra with the sobbing Elizabeth.

Myra didn't move for a minute, she just held her laptop case to her chest and looked at the girl without emotion. This one obviously had more of a reason to cry than she did, and Myra was almost ashamed of the trail on her cheek: the effects of tears on eyeliner. She eventually ventured a "Hi," not knowing how, or whether, to approach her roommate.

Angel quickly wiped away the tears that had collected in streams on her cheeks, embarrassed of her uncharacteristic weakness.
"Hi Myra." She muttered. She was at a loss for words.
The girl was a little frightening but something told Angel she wasn't all bad. In any case she was glad to have a roomate although it would mean a loss of her privacy. It helped to distract her from her grief.
" I hope you're not allergic to cats or anything. " It must have sounded a little silly but what else was there to say.
Myra didn't answer, she only looked around her new room.
"No bathroom." She said.
"Ah yes, the bathroom is down the hall. Appearently we have to share. I'm new here too if you can't tell." She looked down at Diamond who was sleepy and had his eyes half closed.
"This is Diamond, he's an ocelot."
Myra glanced down at the cat once more, without emotion.
"I guess I'll just let you have some time to adjust or something." Angel said as she got up. She looked at Myra and there was no real reaction.
"ok." Angel said as she left the room.
She walked down the hallway to a large window that overlooked a grassy area, filled with trees and planters. Students walked in between them on sidewalks to their classes. She turned her back and sat down on the floor with her arms wrapped around her bent knees. She layed her head on her arms and thought for a long while.

Myra didn't really know what to say to her new roommate, and eventually the girl left. The ocelot was left behind, and bereft of companionship, started twining itself around Myra's ankles.

"Um, down, kitty." She muttered as she lifted her suitcase onto her bed. Diamond followed the case. Myra sighed and opened it. A glance at her cuff watch told her that she had ten minutes until her first class. Hmmm she thought, staring at her wardrobe. First impressions.

She chose a midnight blue peasant top and zipped a black vinyl bodice over it. The jeans would have to stay for now. She stuffed the map of the center and a small makeup bag into a pocket in her laptop case, which was slung over her shoulder, and made her way to the bathroom to fix the eyeliner before class. Time was limited, so she simply removed it and wore sunglasses

Several students gave her terrified stares as she wandered the halls. She met each of them with her own defiant gaze, but her mind was elsewhere. She was lost, and the map wasn't helping her. A groan escaped her. On the computer, the world wide web was her playground, and she knew it like the back of her hand. In three dimensions, she had no sense of direction. She checked her watch. 8:45. Great. She slid down against the wall and opened her laptop, defeated.

"Why did the only thing I had to hold on to have to leave me?" Angel thought. " Poor Papa. He probably suffered a little before he died. If I had only been there to protect him..."
She stopped her soul search for a moment to watch Myra leave the room.
"What a strange one. I know she can't be all bad though. Her tears proved that."
A moment later, Angel got up and went back to the room. Now that Myra was gone she felt free to grieve openly. Somehow she just couldn't cry anymore, though. Her sadness had transformed more into frustration than sadness. She clenched her fists and looked at herself in the mirror that she had set on the nightstand next to her the night before.
" Papa would have never died if I had been there to help him. He never wanted me to leave him. It was my insecurity and shame that drove me to this place. He loved me always... Oh Papa, I will find a way to make this up to you. I swear." She continued inside her head. "I'll be the best I can."
As she thought of this she checked the alarm clock. There was still a couple minutes before class started. She grabbed her bag and ran down the hallway and staircases to the main area.
She wipped out her map and took a long look around.
" A lot of good this does." She said out loud as she took a glance around. Luckily for her she had a pretty good sense of direction and usually ended up in the right area. So she decided to head down the hall to the right.
As she was walking down the hall she noticed Myra sitting against a wall typing away on her laptop.
She bent over and looked her in the eye.
"Lost? So am I." She said to her.
Myra met her gaze with a glare that just screamed "how lame."
"Er, we can run around lost together if you like... or I guess you could sit here and wait for detention." Angel mustered up the kindest look possible in spite of the girl's evil stare. She reached out her hand.
"The choice is yours."

Lief looked around the history class. The teacher was giving a very boring lecture. He silently whispered to the kid sitting next to him, Phaze "Wanna get me out of here?"
"I guess." he said and gave Lief a puch downwsards and he fell through the floor and just in front of Angle and Myra.
