CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So... here's the deal...
next week I go in to the operating room for a surgery that I may very well not even live through. Assuming I *do* pull through, I would still be very sick (as I am right now) and would not get better for many months. And even then, I probably won't ever be 100% again... (since I'm going at about 5% right, I'll take my chances with the operation and hopefully be at least functional after that). In any case, my posts between now and then (the surgery) are very limited.
If I don't make it, there will not be anything after this month at all... If I do live through, I probably will not re-surface until sometime around Easter 2010 and even then, I'll be weak as I am now.
I appreciate all the prayers that people have given... please keep them coming throughout the rest of this month and the beginnings of December. Thanks.

Ok fine, don't tell me
You just told us in another thread you were taking laxatives to get your "gut" ready for laceration (surgery?), so I don't chalk this up to "being shy about information" what 'ev.

At a much less serious level, I'm wondering what the *insert word of your choice that's not allowed on CF* has been wrong with me lately. I don't seem to have come down with any actual illness that I know of, but I've been almost constantly on the brink of exhaustion, have had a frequent but not constant sore throat, and have been feeling sick after eating nearly anything. I've been doubling out nearly every day I'm working on my prescribed Provigil and downing caffeine pills like candy to get through my shifts (particularly the 12 hour ones on Saturdays...ugh). At first I thought it was from stress, since one of the residents where I work passed away last week, but I still can't shake it off. I'm still a bit worried that it's just psychosomatic, but I'm really starting to think there might actually be something wrong and thus I would be justified in making a doctor's appointment. I do hope it doesn't get worse to the point where I'll have to call off work, since it would put my supervisor in a huge bind. Oh well, whatever happens, happens...

Paxi....my thoughts and prayers go out to you . I have just had stomach surgery 3 weeks ago and am still recovering , morphine is great though. :0).

I had a dodgy throat all last week. It was very dodgy and very lame.
The upside was I sounded rather sexy for a few days. This was confirmed over the phone by two auditors; it is established.
Feeling better now 'cept for some sniffles but think am on the upswing heading for "no virii anywhere."
Smiles all round.
