Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm so glad this forum (WWMC) exists and I'm not sure why I haven't posted in this area much before.

Also, part of me wants to quit school. Sure I'll be graduating in May and should have something to show for all of the student debt I've racked up, but I'm so ready to be done! People tell me I should go on the grad school because the economy sucks and my GPA doesn't, but I need a break from school.

Take a year or two off then go back to school. You should be recharged and refreshed by then

I've thought about that. Part of me thinks I'm just getting too old for school, at the very elderly age of 31 :D. I just want to have a career and be completely done with school. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind after a little break from school.

Keep on going! I really wish I had at least completed university, or gone for my dreams, or ... ya know, something other than what I did. :sigh:

I need to live vicariously through others :p LOL

I love fall, and I love winter.. but not in Vancouver.

All it does is rain here, from October til April. And I have seasonal affective disorder, so no thanks to rain and gloom ><

We're going out this week to pick me up a new light therapy device for said disorder. Sigh... it's that time of year again. It's too dark when I get up for work to get any natural light in, and my office doesn't get enough either, so my internal clock is off, and I don't sleep, and I'm generally miserable.

I love autumn and the nights getting darker earlier.
Living on the coast and high up on a hilly area it's great to cosy up in the house and hear the wind howling and hear the waves of the sea crashing about in the distance with my living room full of candle light.
It is a lovely safe feeling, believe it or not.
Looking forward to Halloween and Guy Fawkes night and Christmas.

I envy you being so near to the ocean... but I totally agree with the rest of your post

This time of year fills me with equal measures of serenity and excitement.

Not too sure about Snape, but if Mr. Rickman was in the character of the Sheriff of Nottingham from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, I'd be fighting you for him ^_^ :swoon:

OOOOH and it would be a VICIOUS fight for that one, too!!!!!!

Urgh, on a completely random note.. my husband has his wisdom teeth making their grand entrance, and all 3 (yeah the 4th is non-existent, even on the x-rays, lol) are most likely gonna be impacted.

And as an additional kick in the pants, he has a couple cavities, eek.

Our insurance will cover the extraction but we do have a cap/maximum per year.. so we might have to wait til next year. Eh, could be worse though. Could have no dental at all o_O That would be expeeeensive...

Good thing it's the end of the year, heh. Best to drain our dental plans now so they are nice and fresh in January :p

I don't think I've ever attached myself so personally to a book in her entire life, as I did to this book (Unlikely Disciple). I am actually grieving the fact that I'm done the book... I wish there was more.

It's funny because, I stood in the bookstore aisle for 20 minutes debating on the purchase.

Totally worth it.
