Awesome!Actually, that is one of the amazing things about God. He gave me a surge of complete comfort, took away all of my worries, and I completely was at ease in telling my coworker my view of faith. He had not seen the scripture about the entirety of the law of the prophets being summed up into "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself", and when I showed him that, he started to talk about how all of the holy wars between faiths seem so pointless, and we got to talking about how the body of Christ (ie the Christian Church) was never intended by God to be fractured, and that we all share the same common belief that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. For God did send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." (paraphrased... my memory is not so good).
Basically, pointing him to these two scriptures and then explaining that we "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (proven by the fact that we don't have to learn to be selfish and greedy, but we do have to learn to share and be selfless), I was able to share the whole of the salvation message with him while sitting at my desk at work.
God sure does move in mysterious ways.
Thanks, all, for the encouragement!
