Is it common for poeple who used to have a passion for writing to now think its useless and meaningless? and wat do u do about it?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've been the same way lately. I guess it might be because my priorities have been shifiting. I think though if something comes into my life that I feel passionate about I might feel like taking up writing about something in that area.

I find I have to take breaks from it occasionally and sort of refresh myself to really be able to work hard and stay passionate about it. I can't stay away for long, though.
Sometimes just switching projects for a little while--from a horror short story to a fluffy fantasy novel, for instance--will do the trick. Sometimes I spend a week or so just reading other people's books (which, in my view, is an integral part of writing), and that usually brings me around to writing my own stuff again.
If you've really lost your desire to write, maybe it's just not your thing anymore. Happens with all sorts of hobbies and professions. The only reason I'd worry is if you're losing interest in other things that once gave you pleasure--that's a bad sign.

That happens occasionally to me, usually when I'm not feel too good confidence-wise. How common it is, I believe, rests on the person's whole point of view (obviously). So...meh.

It depends on your calling I suppose. If you are called to write, the enemy would love nothing more than to take away your ferver to do so.
I know I get down alot because I think I might be wasting my time, but then I remember Psalm 45:1 and Philippians 1:6.
Writing is something tedious, but very rewarding in the end. I think R.A. Salvatore said it best when he said, "Not everyone is a writer. If you think about writing day in and day out and cannot get it off your mind, then you are a writer." If you can't make this claim, it might be best to find another hobby.

A different thing happens to me - I need good inspiration. And the sad part is that i can't write poems about God =( cuz i can write only funny poetry.(so don't think God doesn't inspire me cuz He DOES!) Yea,i had plenty to write when we had a guy in our school that would literally get onto the roof and wave his turkish flag, would run into doors just for the camera and would do all sorts of silly things..
To me writing about God has to be somewhat romantic..but that's so not my style!
So,now that i don't have any good stories happening around me,it's very hard..i hope it livens up!! =)
