Hi there. For a few years now I've been given insights on occasion as to what God wants in situations and seasons. Rather than talk them through to people I've written them down! Only until now I've actually followed the words that I've written and done something about it and shown them to people that they were written for.

Our church has had a week of prayer and God has been saying some amazing things and our church leader asked us to write anything we believed to be of God down. I've had really strong feelings that we need to really accept and understand how holy our God is and that we shouldnt hold back from fully expresing our love for Him in all we do. Amongst other things I wrote it all down! As asked by our vicar.

So over the past few days I've finally had the gutts to actually give people these words that God doesnt want me to keep for myself. Only thing is, I'm now really worried about it. Is our church leader going to think that I'm a nut and that I'm saying/writing a load of rubbish that isnt really that ground breaking?

In all fairness, I have every faith that the words I wrote are of God. But I still keep worrying or doubting that I'm a loon and the church leaders think that also.

I dont know what kind of response to expect here really. Just do you have anything to say about this? Is there anyone else out there who writes down all that they hear from God? And is then tempted to keep it to themselves rather than share it with those who need it.

Thanks

Love, hugs and prayers

who is the real leader of your church? isnt it the lord himself? i think your "church leader" would probably be very impressed, and hopefully see it for what it is as the spirit

im going to have to give a propper written testamony (i dont know when, but sooner rather than later im hoping) as for what the lord has done for me over the span of my life (lol who sounds like a nutcase now?). should i have written it down as it happend (as i thought i should at the time but never)? it would defo help when i do do it. im gonna miss loads out through bad memory, i just know it. not the gist of it but definaty the detail. (maybethats a good thing coz my writting style tends to wonder around. and there is that saying the devils in the detail (is that supposed to be a good thing or bad? i cant work that one out))

LOL, my mother personally requested that I write down what the Lord speaks to me. See I have a, shall I say, soft memory. So she asked that I keep a tablet by my bed, since the Lord had been giving me his word in the wee hours of the mornings, you know that time when you are waking from slumber, and you can remember your dreams, that is when the Lord teaches me through my dreams, and speaks to me. So I did as requested by my mother.

Also I had made several poster boards on my walls for my personal studies the Lord had me working on. That was neat (since then I have placed them in a book).

But on the one occasion, like you are talking about, I can remember the Lord giving me one dream I did not want to share. It wasnt because I didnt believe it to be from the Lord. It was in fact because I knew it to be from the Lord, and because I knew what it meant, and it worried me. (I guess I was afraid for the two people it concerned). So I just wrote it down and hid it in the back of my writing book.

It wasnt long after though it just kept nagging at me, til finally I spoke to this person concerning this issue of the dream. I merely just told her the dream. Since she had been a woman of God a lot longer than me, I figured she would know exactly what it meant anyways. So I did what I was meant to do, and shared it with her.

Now see there is a person in scriptures that was told to share what the Lord told him, irreguardless of what it was. And that was Samual and Eli. And for Eli the message was not so good, for it concerned him and his sons. But Samuel did as he was instructed to do and told Eli.

Dont be afraid if you know the Word you have been given to be of the Lord. To be afraid is to fear Judgment; this is what scriptures tell us. Perfect love must be perfected in us. (Read 1 John 4:7-21) Perfect love expels all fear of judgment...

Another good one I am sure the prophets had stuck in their heads was "dont fear man who can only destroy the body, but fear God who can destroy both body and soul" (those prophets were always being marytred).

I think one of my favorites for not fearing the judgment of man is Daniel, just because he allowed man to judge him falsely and throw him to the lions, believing the Lord God to be his true Judge who would judge him fairly and in Truth- and God did and found him without fault, so the mouths of the lions were closed. And the truely guilty were thrown in and devoured immediately!

I hope this has helped, may God bring you peace.

yea my wife and me writing things down and keep it in our "God shaped stuff" folder. Its very good to go back to and read over...

As for the Speaking it out, depending on what words God has given you for people depends if your church leader is going to support you or not. Obviously if God says to you to tell someone He loves them, thats something thats not going to be a problem, if its something like "your going to loose your right arm next sunday in a freak motorcycle accident" that might be something you need to "test". I would be accountable to your chruch leader, that way you will gain their respect and working with them their support.

I know in the past even in closed groups certain words can be challenging to people and make them uncomfortable, accountablility is good.

GOD'S WORD says:

" UNLESS WE BE A FOOL FOR CHRIST WE ARE NOT WORHTY OF HIS KINGDOM "

Boy did GOD open the barn door for us fools!!!

If you BELIEVE it to be so don't be ashamed to SHOUT it from the top of mountains!!!

If others look at you and say to other's:

" LOOK AT THAT FOOL "

Then you know your right where GOD wants you!!!

I HOPE WERE ALL FOOL ENOUGH TO REMEMBER:

XEven though you can't see Him, GOD is there!O
( click on the X and drag to the O ) ( then feel who is around you ) steven

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.
<-----> Revelation 1:18+19

And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. <-----> Numbers 12:6

The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. <-----> Jeremiah 23:28

Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
<-----> 1st Corinthians 14:29-32

In most cases , words given are primarily for us , and then for others ... that is to say , that we should be consistent with the words we share with others .

Try sharing with your husband first .

Also , our " words " are subject to being compared to God's Word .

The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them. <-----> Proverbs 20:12

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. <-----> James 1:22

Peace and Joy , In Christ's Righteousness .
