Does anyone here write? I do, im only 15 but im near completed a 300 (A4 Sheet) page book...2 chapters away from finishing..i would like to get published in the near future...its my dream to write a book and share it with the world...if you want to know more about it just let me know.

I did write two books, but never attempted to have them published. They do need a final proofread/edit too. Mainly, there is no time to do this, and also need to find a way to publish them that it doesn't cost me a lot of money to do so.

WOW! That is quite an accomplishment! Amazing really! What is the topic of the book? I hope your dream comes true and it is someday published.

Me personally, I love to write. I write just about anything I can: novels, short stories, poetry, and in my journal. I find it a good way to release feelings--I do that through anything I write. It's generally very relaxing and I also hope to publish a novel. I want to be an author that people are still reading about in a hundred or more years.

I find that when I write, it comes in spurts. I have to be inspired and sometimes I go weeks or months without writing at all (except for in my journal). Other times I can write on end for weeks without running out of ideas.

Yeah, I do some writing...in my spare time (that is when I actually *have* spare time....lol)

Most of the stuff I write doesn't get completely finished. I have however recently finished writing a drama/musical and am in the editing stage right now. Plans are to get it self-published and give it to God and see what He wants to do with it...

That sounds exactly like me, except I'm hoping to publish a book of short stories. I love writing; it's my number one passion, and I want to be a political journalist after university.

I have started to write a poem about when the sun shinned though the gray sky. I want the poem to rhyme, but I havn't found the right words yet. I was thinking about a free verse poem, but I think my poem needs to have a nice rhythimic (sp?) pattern to it.

I used to write a bit more when I was younger. My inspirations were the cartoons I watched everyday. I remeber writing a story about a show called Pinky and the Brain. I spent one whole day writing, and I was only about 8 or 9. At that time, I was homeschooled, and I got to miss an entire day of homeschooling because my mom thought that writing stories was important. And I think it is too.

I love to write. When I was younger, I'd write all the time. I wrote short stories (mostly fantasy-type stories). When I got older, I quit writing for a while for some reason. I'm still not sure why. Laziness, most likely. Then, when I got older, I wrote a little poetry. Now, I'm working on a fantasy novel. I got the idea about a year ago, and I think that this may be the first one that actually goes somewhere.

writing for me is just not happening anymore,it must be stress from school exams.i sit down to write and am blank.If i do write its really abstract stuff nobody would understand. my love for writing is just not there.

Hello, i'm a new member to this forum thing, but i to am 15, Aslo just like you i love and enjoy to write. You've got farther along in your book than me. I've only gotten to my chapter 7. It's glad to hear that others dream about writing to the world. Technically my book is based on what situations i've helped with, being a christian. I just wanted to write and say great job at that, God gave you a gift, and you oviously using it. God bless you.

There's a cheap way to self-publish, through Lulu.com. It takes a while to set up the format and learn all the ins and outs of the site, but you can publish something so simple as a book of vacation photos with only one copy, for the cost of one copy.

They take 6x9 or 8.5x11 Word formats (use page setup) and convert the upload to a pdf. Then they take cover art uploads, png or jpg back and front separate, and convert those to pdf. It's ultra automated; the company was started by Linux specialists. The print quality is superb. It really only costs you time.
