• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

write something nonsensical, surreal, silly.

and about daily life? We either live fully "in" it or simply exist in it and just get "tossed around" like a ship lost at sea, eventually sinking.

...journey to "self" = journey to "death"? kinda' sounds like one runs into a brick wall, so to speak....

"...well yes, of course there is a wall, that's why it's thin at the time of births and deaths..." replied the goblin, adding "...yet when one's soul is ready the walls is as no more, just one goes on from here, so bare witness from within then, keep your paraphernalia and your rituals for someone else please, it's as calvin pointed out, your relationship with the elephant in the room is direct, brinny is right one swims in dailylife but one doesn't lose oneself within it thus drowning outright, for doesn't that line go and whoever has come to know the world has discovered a carcass, and whoever has discovered a carcass, of that person the world is not worthy..."

repost from elsewhere, the "afterlife" thread

"...simply, you and I are anonymous, the number of posts, the hit rate, and all the other paraphernalia which goes up to create any member on a site actually means nothing because nothing can be proved here, nothing except the fact that I am writing this and you are reading it..." said the goblin whose goal remained to know himself from what he posted, adding "...you can't know the future, there is no way to know it because it is not here yet, but perhaps one can know oneself, because oneself is here all the time..."

my dear brother, and beloved son of the Most High God....the question i'm going to ask you is not as unrelated as it may appear, please bear with me...

it was said by our Shepherd Himself that we are to be as "little children" to enter the Kingdom of God, was it not?

"Yes." replied the monkey, wondering where this was going...

Well as our Shepherd, He guides us, does He not? And does He not teach us in the way that we should go and guide us with His eye, and be a Lamp unto our feet and a Light unto our path? And in the teaching, does that not generate from the Holy Spirit, as we begin bearing the fruits of the Spirit, which are in the verses below, and are based on love and grace, and "good" merely is a "side-effect" of the fruits of the Spirit? And one must be as a little child in trusting Him, which means to be without guile, doesn't it? It is love that guides and prompts a heart that was once a heart of stone but has been transformed to a heart of flesh.

""If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. ~1 Corinthians 13

No speculation here, flea. My anchor, my Rock is the Author of this:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." ~John 3:16

"I think I see what you're saying," the monkey said, face screwed up in concentration... "It is God who produces the good in us, whatever good there may be." Thinking on that for a moment, the monkey took a sip of coffee... "So I need not worry about my motivations because it is God who works in me both to will and to do His good pleasure, right?"

At this the monkey jad to bow out for the night, as he had pressing things to get accomplished, but would stop back by in the morning to check for replies.

"...then that agreed is what is lies beyond then..." replied the goblin, adding "...but then your homework kind of stops there, what journey is that I ask, a points game, buying one's way to where one's going by doing the same externals like pharisees, I tell you clearly your churches will burn to their foundations when the end comes, you made it externals when all along you knew in your hearts that in was an internal, so where is you journey humans...", in fact, the goblin was thinking along the lines that the romans had rejected for their love of cearsar Jesus said to them, "When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter [the Kingdom], adding "...where I reject ceasar, that's all..."

Flea, Jesus the Christ, the only begotten Son of the living God, never said that.

"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." ~Galatians 3:26-29

My friend, it is not about religion.

The only "Church", is in a spiritual realm, and is the "Bride of Christ". She is not made of bricks and mortar. He resides in the heart of His Bride. She loves Him with all of her heart, mind, soul, and strength. It is not about religion. It is about loving the living God and delighting in Him, the One Who rejoices over us with singing.

"...sorry brinny that's from the gnostic gospels, number 22 in fact, his words indeed, btw have you read the gospel of thomas..." replied the goblin, adding "...where I said from the start I'm gnostic, so you'll forgive me for being as I am and on my own perhaps, just that these are end times indeed, so that's why the gospel came to light, where now more than ever it needs to be heeded, told you I was heretic then, it's inside or nowhere, and of course I'm not to be trusted, I mean if you follow the gnostic ideas, it's more like herding cats than your regular flock of sheep, so no wonder the romans conveniently left them out of their bible but to me it's a journey to self now and they are a gospel like any other and it's his words, and yes, I bare witness to what I know..."

same here, flea, as i am also compelled to speak as i believe....and in that regard, perhaps neither i, nor the realm of the wounded, is to be trusted.

As i have also said a while back, i do not believe anything, including our paths crossing, is by accident.

“...sleep now, for you can no longer keep your word from where you are now...” voiced the goblin to his father's ghost now, where the goblin had hardly been surprised when his grandmother had left him one gold coin of her vast fortune, yet little did he even suspect, that in spite of his father's unsolicited reassurances to the contrary, that he would in the event leave him nothing at all, saying “...so sleep now, the disinherited owe you nothing and have no need to dwell upon this memory either...”, somehow the goblin hated himself even the more for his actually caring

perhaps it is no accident that you have found yourself in the realm of the wounded....hating oneself is no stranger here, it's merely a stage in a process...

("...a wall perhaps..." ventured the goblin)

repost from elsewhere, another writer's forum, another ultimatum, resulting in another banning

“...look, all I have said from the beginning, and in the friendliest possible way too, is that this is how I'm going to write, and how I intend to remain writing too, where I've not once been rude, nor attacked anyone back on this forum, except perhaps by inflection from this stance then, for I don't care to write like the others do where the readability of my posts is already well known to me...” mused the goblin continuing “...so yes, you may hate my writing style for whatever reason, even taking yet more punitive actions against me for not buckling in, but you won't change me, any more than you can turn this forumland into your bookworld, for those days are gone where no doubt the reader will still read a book from time to time, yes but that this forumland, livewriting, and forum readership too, are all today's reality now...”, simply, the goblin's writing style was his guise of anonymity here, where he carefully hid himself behind some lax grammar usage, saying “...look, if ever started writing in that ever so correct yet tediously dull boringly obvious and repetitively old hat sort of way that you're demanding of me now, medusa would simply home in as to who or what was writing this, whereas this way then, I imagine she is might be quite dumbfounded at the audacity of actually facing someone anonymous who is not hoodwinked by her dowry of fame and fortune...", in fact, the goblin at times felt that medusa might actually dislike the goblin even more than any of her writing-clone suitors did, saying "...no let's be honest here, I mean once everyone caves in and writes that perfectly is it any wonder that afterwards they then need usernames to tell each other apart, ah but I digress now so. but we mustn't let mudusa down now and keep her waiting here, so I'll decline your ultimatum and just accept your ban instead..."

and then goblin had come across this wonderful book called "Japanese housewife in 24hours" with delightful examples and phrases that he felt he could share here, "...right this is perfect for them darling your bath is ready, oh yes and hubby may I fetch your slippers, yes, gosh, amazing, I have just got tell the mummies then..." exclaimed the goblin somehow knowing just how much they would really appreciate this sort of thing
