There is a letter in this week's Salvationist which suggests that uniformity could be maintained by everyone wearing a make poverty history band!

i wouldn't, but then i don't wear any form of jewellry or bracelets. i'm not even wearing my watch at the moment cos the band is broken

Well today's the day, so to speak. I shall be a right old couch potato- tennis then music into the night.
I got a letter from the prime minister today---nicely timed response to the postcard campaign!

note the Nike bands against racism right next to the bands for poverty.

i actually felt sick when i saw that. it just reeks of commercialism.
