  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi Forum,

I asked this question beore, but I can't find the thread......

The wrath of God and the great tribulation that precedes the coming of the son of man........

Are they the same thing? Are they parts of the same event? If not, how are they connected? Need Christians fear the great tribulation? The wrath of God?

Thanks

Don't know if about fearing the tribulation, but I would think everyone should fear the wrath of God. :)

If God truly has wrath, then I am afraid we all are greatly in trouble. If God has wrath, He would surely have destroyed this world long ago for this world is full of things and people worthy of His wrath. I think it is not His wrath that allows good people to die and people who do evil things to live. :groupray:

Hi kripper,

So you consider them as different events maybe??

Justme

Hmm . . . good question. I guess I never really gave it much thought. But I guess I would say that, generally speaking, when I hear talk of "tribulation" or "the tribulation," it is usually referring to a very specific biblical end-time prophecy, whereas God's "wrath" is not always this specific event. So I guess I would speculate that although "the tribulation" could be considered a manifestation of God's "wrath," every instance of God's "wrath" is not necessarily "the tribulation."
