She's only 15 years old! I burst into tears when I listened the "what a wonderful world" What a talent!! Normally I don't like jazz sung in a r&b way like this, but she's young, she has a very very beautiful voice... I'm stunned!

Maybe I'm a purist but I generally don't like singers who don't write music. Norah Jones isn't bad but she doesn't write her own stuff which, in my opinion, disqualifies her from being called an 'artist'. Anyone can sing. I know it's a bit snobbish of me but if your not talented enough to write music as well as sing it, then stick to karaoke (spelling sucks i know).

I certainly agree with you when it comes to pop music, but aren't the jazz standards worth preserving and passing on to younger generations? They are some of the most well crafted songs in all of American Music.

As far as Renee goes....holy cow. I have never heard such vocal and artistic maturity out of a 16 year old. It's dumbfounding.

Oh yes, I totally agree about that too. And personally I dont care if she doesnt write all of her songs. It fine with me seeing as her band writes most of what she doesnt.
