Everyone comments about how they dont "look" or "feel" the age that they are. Intellectually I dont feel much older than I was in my early 20's, physically though I feel my age. Regardless of the way we feel about ourselves, when we are looking for a potential mate its not how old we look or feel to ourselves, but how old we look to that other person.

Remember from childhood when we thought being 30 was "over the hill"? Well, I did! Now I realize that there is MUCH room to grow and mature in life. Unfortunately, the body gets a bit worn down, but the mind and spirit hopefully will keep growing.

Reminds me of the old saying:

"Growing older is mandatory. Growing more mature is optional."

While I appreciate what you're saying, i'm hoping to find that man that will also get to know me and just how I do think before deciding whether he's interested or not. I mean, two people can't find each other repulsive and get anywhere, I know that, but I just think both are too quick to make an immediate decision without getting to know the other person very well.

Honestly that type of man is out there probably in legions. It's not however someone like myself. Attractiveness doesn't grow on me. It's either there or it's not. I honestly wish I was different because I have known and have been friends with many wonderful women who on one level would have probably made great partners. But there was absolutely no physical attraction whatsoever in me for them. I will admit that my life can get pretty lonely also because not too many opportunities come around, regardless of when they do it's usually someone really special. My relatives so often chide me and accuse me of being too picky but I cannot change who I am. Some women I am attracted to and some I am not. And if I am not attracted to you then it doesnt matter if you've got personality and charm by the truckload. Lucky for you I am quite certain that my type is probably a minority. Good luck in your efforts.

These miraculous relationships come out of nowhere and it makes all the waiting seem like seconds.
Maybe I'm just feeling all gushy today, but that's God's doing in changing the hearts of 2 nerdy friends who had innocently but honestly enjoyed one another's minds until the perfect matchmaker intervened.

Yes, I suppose so, but the Lord had to use quite the big stick upside both our dense heads and we're an ocean apart. Quite amazing, really, but I have put it all in God's hands to work out the details and guide us.
